Well, I tried the self-posting idea for queries...you never know if something new is going to work or not if you don't try it...and it didn't work! So, back to the old way of posting queries- you send 'em to me, and I'll post them monthly on the web site. Thanks for the feedback on the do-it-yourself system.


1.   Is anyone looking for Hawkins in the Detroit, MI area?  My 
     ggrandfather William Hawkins was buried in Mt.Elliott
     Cemetery there.  Presumed parents in the same family plot
     Thomas Hawkins and  Ann Hawkins. Family lore says
     the Hawkins came from Ireland during the potato famine.

2.   Does your Hawkins line descend from Frederick H. in
     Greenville District, SC, then Joseph H. of Rutherford
     Co., SC?  Joseph moved with wife Elizabeth Montague Hawkins
     to Alabama about 1832.
     If we have ancestors in common, please writeCarolyn Spann.
     


3.   Everett Clyde Hawkins b. 12-7-1906 d.1957-1961, believed
     to have been born in Greencastle, Putnam Co., IN(but lived in
     Dayton, OH 1924-1956), son of  John A(llen?)  Are you
     researching Hawkins in that vicinity?  Would appreciate any
     leads.  Rod


4.    Anthony Thomas Hawkins, born on 12-20-1833, son of  
     Obediah and Sophia (Orem) Hawkins.
     He came to Kansas ca. 1873, had the following half-siblings:
     Charlesb.~1840 OH,  Eliza b. 1842 IN, 
      Daniel b. ~1843 IN,  Joseph b.~1846 and Sophia
     b.~1849 IN.  I would like to find more info on Obediah, any
     help appreciated.  Please write Essie.


5.   Looking for info on my ggrandfather, William Melton Hawkins
     .  He was born July 1, 1849 Rolla, MO; died Nov.2, 1931.
     Married Sarah Ellen Boaz-Harris, maybe this was a 2nd 
     marriage.  Fathered 6 children; may have been born in Brumly, MO.
     Supposedly buried in Frederick, Tillman Co., OK.  All help
     greatly appreciated.  Please write  Grady Hawkins.


6.    S.H.Hawkins was born Oct. 1825 in Gibson Co., IN, parents
     were  Henry Hawkins and Martha Hill. Siblings:
     Thomas, Margaret, James J., David, Clara, Eliza E., William
     Berry. Henry was born in TN, date and place unknown. If you 
     know anything about these folks, Mendy Bell would sure like to hear from you.



7.    Sada Emily Hawkins(aka Sadie) born 10-15-1888, died
     1-10-1913, buried in New London, IA.  Married to  Jesse C.
     Calhoun.  Sadie's father was  George Wesley Hawkins,
     mother  Sara Nevada Douglas.  George Wesley was born in
     Keokuk, IA, died in Jetmore, KS.  Do you know this line?  If so,
     Lola would appreciate
     a note from you.


8.   I have info on an Isaac Newton Hawkins who married 
     Mariah Jane Durkee and lived in Parker County, TX in the
     1860-1890 time frame...extensive info on her family; he 
     apparently came from VA according to the Parker County 1860
     census. Jim Vester 
     would be glad to trade info with you.


9.   Have Hawkins in Bartholomew and Shelby Counties, IN.  Would
     like to hear from anyone else researching in that area.

10.  Looking for info on grandfather Emory Amos Hawkins.  Not
     much info available. Please contact Ruth.


11.  I am looking for info on my grandmother, Mary M. Hawkins
     , b. 11-4-1884 near Galax,VA.  She married  Eli C. Hudson
      b. 1882.  Any leads appreciated as I know nothing about my
     grandparents on that side.

12.  Looking for the parents of  Richard Bruce Hawkins, also
     sometimes called Dick, born in TN 10-20-1857...he was my
     ggrandfather.  Please write

13.  Unknown Hawkins, married to Parthena Strange on 7-13-1872,
     location not known. He was born about 1832, possibly in VA.
     They had 3 children:  Floyd, Rachel, and Emma.  Any help
     on this mystery man?  Linda

14.  My grandmother has documents tracing our Hawkins ancestors back
     to Sarah Hawkins of TN, born Shenandoah Co., VA 1746, died
     Washington Co., TN 1780.  Any help appreciated.  Please write

15.  Looking for the descendants of James A. Hawkins and    
     Eliza Susan Davidson  who were married around 1850 in Hinds
     Co., MS.  This family lived in Jackson, MS for a long time.  Do
     you know anything about this family?

     Dowell; they had a son Jessie born Scott Co., VA.  Please
