Dahl,

In response to your question about animated gifs on my web site,  I
create these myself (or work service students do).  We create the
individual images in an image editor (like Photoshop) and then assemble
them using ULead Gif Animator.  Microsoft also has a gif animator
program, although we haven't used it much.

Thanks for your detailed examination of my web site.  I'm glad to know
someone's watching closely.  I'm in the process of making corrections.

Dahl,

Regarding that problem with the waves applet, I have an idea what causes
it, but I'm not sure it's worth correcting.  Remember, you have to keep
the wave speed the same for both waves.  You were giving the waves
different speeds.  Hence, any result you got would be unphysical anyway!

We didn't get around to looking at problem 18 this morning.  Just turn
it in with your other problems tomorrow.  If you found that the power
dissipated by the lines was a million times greater at 110,000 V, take
another look.  Be sure that you deal correctly with the voltage drop
across the power lines.  Don't confuse that with the emf of the power
plant.

Dahl, I know that we need to set up a time to meet with Dr. Winters 
about our project. Um, unfortunately I had planned to be gone before he 
had ever mentioned anything about this. So, I'm not going to be back 
before at least 5 on Sunday, it may even be 10:30, I don't know. So 
anytime after school Monday is okay with me, but that's the earliest 
that I can do it. Sorry. Have a good weekend.
