Jesann, age 9, says, she likes to write, "when I don't have anything to do, because it traps your mind. It's fun to make funny stories when you're sad, and I like to write stuff that I don't want to tell another person." Her favorite character is Ann Frank, because her "life was so interesting." She also likes poetry and tragic stories. Jesann lives in Seattle with her family.
