Carlyn Graphics is proud to present a new Highlander zine, "The Methos Chronicles," brought to you by Carol Ann Liddiard and Sheila Marie Lane, the same team that produced "Richie Forever, Volume I." Ten stories and poems dedicated to the oldest living immortal, Methos. Including:

"Methos' Legendary Adventures"
by Laura Michaels

"You're in big trouble now." While Gabrielle said the words, the sword of a very large man was at her throat. Her best friend Xena had been knocked unconscious by the man's twelve cohorts and was now lying on the ground chained and disarmed.

"Oh," said the man, "and how do you figure that?"

"That's Xena." Gabrielle indicated her prone friend.

"We know," replied the man.

"Well she isn't going to stand for this," said Gabrielle.

"She's not standing," one of the cohorts put in. A few of the men in the crowd laughed.

"You'll see. As soon as she wakes up...."

"What makes you think she's going to wake up?" asked the man with the sword.

"Because...."

"Someone's coming," said one of the cohorts toward the rear of the gathered group.

"Ah hah," said Gabrielle. "I told you. You're in big trouble now."

The man readjusted his grip on the sword and slid it closer to Gabrielle's throat. "What makes you say that?"

"Because that's Hercules. We were on our way to meet him."

The men came to attention and brought their weapons to the ready at the mention of the name Hercules.

"Shall we give Hercules an invitation to join his friends?" the leader asked.

Several of the men headed for the nearest trees to hide.

"You just wait," said Gabrielle. "Hercules will...."

The stranger traveling down the path had just come into range and suddenly stopped. Half a dozen of the men had jumped out of the foliage with swords pointed at him. He spread his hands to show he wasn't going for a weapon and smiled, looking quite harmless. "I didn't expect a welcoming committee," he told them.

"That's Hercules?" the leader of the group asked Gabrielle. The others laughed at the harmless looking stranger.

"No, actually I'm Methos."

"Well...Methos. You certainly took the wrong path today."

Methos looked over the situation and the two captured women. "Have I?" he asked innocently.

Some of the men in the crowd laughed.

"Kill him," said the leader.

"Methos' Legendary Adventures", a story of ancient Greece that might have been, featuring Xena, Warrior Princess and Hercules.
