QUESTIONS AND FEEDBACK

This section will contain any questions or feedback that I may have received via my E-MAIL.   Obviously, since this is a rather new site, there is currently nothing here.   If I don't start getting some e-mail, I'm going to have to start posting e-mail that I made up myself.....

Trust me when I say that you do NOT want that to happen heh heh....

Ok, I received some e-mail over the past few months...not many heh heh, but some....

Dear Lee,

I just wanted to know?  Exactly what makes you think you are qualified to dispense this kind of information?  What kind of training or learning have you had?

----Just Wondering

Dear Just Wondering (by the way, I mail bombed his email address hee hee, just kidding)

Well, I have been into weight training for almost 10 years now, not always seriously though, because I was going thru medical school, and then did 2 years of Family Medicine, before moving on to Obstetrics and Gynecology which I will be starting this year.  In medical school I was exposed to a lot of anatomy and physiology.  I have also read numerous articles and books on weight training, as well as having tried most of the gadgets, gizmos and supplements out there to no avail.   So, I guess part of my knowledge comes from my own experiences, while the other part comes from scientific fact.  I am also well aware of the different medications that Bodybuilders have used in the past to enhance their results including Lasix (a diuretic), and Synthroid (a thyroid hormone replacement which sppeds up your metabolism and causes one to lose fat).  I don't and have never used these by the way, nor have I prescribed any bodybuilding type drugs.

Dear Lee,

Is there any infomercial out there that you do recommend?

---- There's got to be an easier way

Dear There's Got to be an Easier Way,

Not really.  Like I said before, stop wasting your money buying all these gadgets and equipment.  These infomercial people are experts at knowing what will make you buy from them.  They use heavy doses of psychology, guilt, and peer pressure to cause you to buy their goods.  QVC for instance.  Do you know what causes an increase in the number of items bought per minute?  It's not during the sales pitch.  Actually it's when the average person is calling in over the phone to tell everyone why he/she is so happy that she bought the product, or the results that they have gotten from using the product.  It's also not a mistake that they put a number of items sold counter at the bottom of the screen..geez, when I see the product selling like hotcakes.....even I think "DAMN!  That thing must be good!  Look at the number that they are selling!"  Just remember folks, there are 250 million people in the US, so when you see 6,000 of these items being sold in 30 minutes, just think about what percentage of people are really buying it.

Dear Lee,

I can see by your web site that you REALLY seem to be pushing the books by the guy at Hardgainer, do you get a cut of any sales or something?   It's just that I've seen this kind of ploy before, and it seems similar to what the muscle magazines, as you said yourself do, in terms of promoting their own product as the best.

----  Suspicious

Dear Suspicious,

No, O do not have a vested interest in the Hardgainer web site, nor do I make any moeny of any sales that they may get.  In fact, if you look at their links, they do not even list my site (Despite the fact that at one point they made mention of doing this).  So I could have been pissed off and took them off of my site, but the truth is, I REALLY REALLY belive in their stuff, and I would be doing anyone who comes to my site a disservice by not advertising the Hardgainer books.   Like most people, I've tried supplements, courses, magazines, and anything else that I could get my hands on to build a nice looking body.  The only thing that has worked, is the hardgainer books over at their site.  I meen geez, instead of buying some creatinine, or fat burners, just go and buy the two books that I have mentioned for the same price.  You won't regret it, I know I haven't.

I have been in this conservation many times and with different people and everyone has their own opinion. I need you to clear up this matter once and for all .. HOW DID BRUCE LEE really die????? Thank you for your time I will wait your reply.

Mr. Tolander

Dear Mr. Tolander,

Cerebral edema, which is pretty much swelling of the brain. Because the brain is in a hard encased shell..ie..the skull, any swelling can lead to compression and then loss of basic life support systems (respiratory drive etc). That is why trauma to the head can lead to such devastating consequences..the blood can pool (internal hemorrhage) and lead to compression of parts of the brain. Now what caused the cerebral edema? Truthfully..the analgesic Bruce Lee did use could have been the culprit, as he had had a similar reaction about one month prior, and allergic reactions the second time around tend to be more severe, since the body is then primed for the next insult. Forget all that other conspiracy stuff...it was just bad luck:-)

Ok, that's it for now, later!
