What is it about:
It is a couple years later and our heroes that graduated from high school in the last film are now in college for..of all things..film study. A film has just been released based on Gail Weather’s book, “The Woodsboro Murders” which is about the killings in the last film. On opening night a murder happens that is identical to the Woodsboro murders. Is this the beginning of a serial murder all over again? It could very well be when more people are killed off in the next couple days. The killer is gettingcloser to our heroes and threatens those close to them as well. Like the advertisements say, “Someone has taken their love of sequels too far.”

Cephas’ notes and spoilers:
Everyone is asking me, “Is it better than the first?” No. OK? I said it to you too. BUT I recommend it for the awesome theatre experience this film offers! It is a good film, but lacks what the original offers for originality. It just takes the same elements with a few twists. I think what I enjoyed in this film were 1) the excellent dialogue from the characters Randy and Dewey when they were discussing the murders in the college caffeteria and watching Dewey’s face in that scene was funny as hell! I laughed my ass off!! 2) In even the smallest parts that are designed to make the audience jump in fear, there was a few groups of girls/women in the theatre that jumped or screamed every time! This was great. Ust awesome because I never got to see a film that made a group of people scream all the time. I laughed each time this happened. I didn’t jump at all but that may be that I was expecting this from the film in each scene one way or another. But I did do stuff like talking to the scream ..er...I meant “screen” .. and telling them where to run. (Like they could hear me? Stupid me, right?) HAHAHA I have a couple things I would like to bash, but if I did that here I would give the film away and accidentaly give away the killer. You don’t want that. Or do you? If you do, click here for some more notes and spoilers. I don’t want anyone accidentally reading mega spoilers that even I would not want given away!!

Cephas’ Rating:
GO SEE THIS IN THE THEATRE!!!
Like I said, an excellent theatre experience to be had!! Hey, if you have a “Scream” mask at home, wear it to th ethatre and find your seat like that. And if you havea FAKE knife, bring that too. The audience and theatre people would get the biggest kick out of that!! I wish I bought that mask last Halloween. Just remember that you need to see the first film or else you can’t see this film because it is deeply imbedded with the first.
