Ephraim Sneh

Winner of The Church of Rabin And Peace Award

The Church of Rabin And Peace would like to honor MK Dr. Ephraim Sneh.

There are not many that have had a greater role in creating the holy Oslo accords than Ephraim Sneh. It was good old Dr. Sneh, that way back in 1992, as co-chairman of Yitzchak Rabin's 1992 primary campaign, played a critical role in our master's electoral victory. Ephraim Sneh himself was elected to his first term in the Knesset in 1992 and was assigned to the Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee and its Intelligence Subcommittee. He probably heard there all the warnings and reservations that the intelligence community had with regards to the holy Oslo accords, but our pious Dr. Sneh payed no heed. In 1994 his loyalty to our master was recognized, and Ephraim Sneh was appointed Minister of Health in the Rabin Cabinet.

Church members will never forget the Minister of Health Dr. Ephraim Sneh's appearence on Israeli television on that fateful night when our master was killed. He declared, "Tonight in Tel Aviv, as a result of incitement, at 11:10, the Prime Minister and Defence Minister Yitzhak Rabin died. He was shot three times in the chest, stomach and spinal cord." Thus Ephraim Sneh was probably the first person to recite our mantra, which has been repeated hundreds if not thousands of times in the holy Israeli media: Right wing incitement created the political atmosphere that led to Rabin's assassination. (It is interesting to note that Dr. Sneh's observation directly contradicts the conclusions of the State Pathologist, the most holy Dr. Yehuda Hiss. Dr. Hiss said that our master was shot only twice. Does anybody here know how to count?)

Ephraim Sneh later become the Deputy Minister of Defense in Ehud(Israel's most decorated soldier) Barak's government. There he helped formulate and facilitate Ehud Barak's successful defense policies, the fruits of which we are enjoying to this very day, long after Barak's humiliating defeat at the hands of Mussolini.

Today, Ephraim Sneh is the Minister of Transportion. In his new job he apparently has spare time to write articles for the Jerusalem Post. On July 3, 2001 he wrote a most enlightened piece of propoganda called Entebbe remembered. In this article, the good doctor tries to diagnose the differences between the terror that we are suffering from today and the terror of the 1970's. He cites several differences:

The most significant change is the transition of terrorism from a political to a religious character...Second, terrorism has turned more grisly...Thirdly, terrorism today has morphed to being more state-sponsored than in the 1970s.

Of course, the enlightened Dr. Sneh forgot the most important difference. Dr. Sneh, along with his enlightened counterparts in the Israeli Left, gave myriads of weapons and autonomy to known murdrers. They are shooting at soldiers and civilians daily, killing and maiming. They are using their autonomous enclaves to prepare bombs to blow up people in discotheques and shopping malls. All of this thanks to enlightened people like Dr. Ephraim Sneh!

Our Minister of Transportation could not help but finish his article with a hypocritical note:

Painfully, whereas the Western world hunted down sources of terrorism in the 1970s, Western governments and leading corporations have fallen all over themselves to relax sanctions on Iran and on other such oil-rich terror-supporting states as Iraq and Libya, and to do business with each of them... And, for our part, Israel cannot abandon the spirit of Entebbe and with it the vital need for effective action against terrorism which has become more fanatic, more deadly and more desperate.

Spirit of Entebbe! Yes, let us act effectively against terrorism like Dr. Ephraim Sneh! Let's give them land and weapons!
