Ethan Embry (who was also known as Ethan Randall for 17 years) is one of the many (but yet so few) talented young actors that has developed some of the most provacative young people's movies of the '90's. From "Empire Records" to "Can't Hardly Wait" to "That Thing You Do", and even "Disturbing Behavior!" This all at just the age of 21! He is defintiely one to be around for a long time coming.

Embry is probably most known for his awesome portrayal as Mark, a confused and goofy record store clerk, in the hit 1995 film, "Empire Records." From then on Ethan has devoloped many adoring fans. Though some have stuck with him since his debut at age 12 in 1991, as a spoiled rich kid in the non-critic friendly, "Dutch." No matter what the role though, he has a certain goofy allure that only he can add to his characters. And this is definitely one of his most promising trademarks. This is what makes most of his fans love him so much. Besides his baby blues of course! Critics never seem to applaud him very much, since he always "acts the same," but we know better than that. I say if he was a bad actor, he wouldn't have done all the cult hit films he has and wouldn't have all the loyal young fans that he does. Besides, no one can play a dork better that Ethan!

Embry was born on June 13, 1978 as Ethan Randall. Later he would change his name to Embry to honor his grandfather. He grew up in Huntington Beach, CA, and started acting around age 10. By 12 years of age he knew this is what he intended to do for his life. He starred in many independent movies and flops, and was virtually unnoticed until 1995 at age 17, for "Empire Records." Now it's 2000 and he's 21. He has gathered more fans from his other movies like "Can't Hardly Wait" and continues to get more fans from the still-growing fans of "Empire Records!" This movie did bring him his big break, even though it was a huge disappointment in theaters, hurting both cast and crew. But Embry seems to have recovered well from his let down.

Ethan is now married to a girl named Amelinda as of November 1998, and they're first son was born in December 1999! He also has been producing his own independant film called, "Taken" with some fellow actor friends. Interesting things about him are: he's very fond of photography, surfing, and music. Mostly Rock, and he is even in his own Rock band with his brother just for fun. Some of his good friends include: Liv Tyler, Johnny Whitworth, and Peter Facinelli. He has changed his look many times, due to getting sick of his face. And also NO one can tell what this talented guy will do next. And you know , I think that's the best part about Mr. Embry, don't you?!?!
