My Thoughts: Why are Mr. Smith's three films so popular? They are crude. 
That's all I can think of. I don't see any point or plot. Teenagers
watch them because they are sick. Teenagers are sick. The actual 
directon is fine. Good for someone of his age. Maybe he gets credit 
because he also writes his movies. And teenage boys love the way he 
writes! His next movie, Dogma, will star Oscar winners Matt Damon and
Ben Affleck, who have both already apeared in Smith movies. Damon
had one line in 'Chasing Amy', which Ben starred in as well as 
'Mallrats'.
