Who am I? I am Jenni. I'm a 28 year old liberal arts student at JFKU in California (although I do work full time as well). I have had many encounters with vegetarianism throughout the last five or so years. Even though there were many reasons I wanted to stick with it, I always faltered. Well, recently my body has informed me in no uncertain terms that we are no longer eating meat. Too much guilt associated, I suppose.
Anyway, whatever your status is on the food chain, welcome! I am creating this site to support myself in my new lifestyle and to learn, hopefully helping others learn in the process.
Which brings us to THE SWAMP OF QUESTIONS... Sounds ominous, doesn't it? If you have any questions about vegetarianism, no matter how basic or bizarre, please email me at the address below. What qualifies me to be the question lady? Absolutely nothing, except that I will find out the answers to our questions.
OK, one major holiday down, one to go. Christmas is around the corner. For some vegetarians it is a difficult time, with friends and family unable to comprehend that you don't want to eat the dead pig. Particularly if they have slaved over the thing all day. So how do we deal with this? Is it a problem? Email and me and let me know, maybe we can get a discussion going.
Hope your holiday season is peaceful, be it christmas, solstice, or however you choose to celebrate the winter season. Don't get caught up in the shopping, find a real tradition that is meaninful for you.
