Faith The Vampire Slayer
When Kendra died, another slayer was called to take her place. Although the gang didn't quite realize that until they stumbled over a slutty, kicking vamp butt girl at the Bronze. She introduced herself as the new slayer and she knew exactly who Buffy was.
Claiming that her watcher was away on a Watcher's retreat, Faith went to Sunnydale to befriend the famous Buffy and learn some new tricks. The gang warmed up to her quicky, later learning that Mr. Trick killed her Watcher and Faith fled the scene.
Faith had many problems adjusting to being Watcherless. Giles had to watch both of the girls. Buffy and Faith became slaying buddies. When a new watcher did come for Faith, she turned out to be evil. Faith was a bad influence on Buffy and the two started to get into trouble. They got into more then just trouble one night when Faith accidently killed an innocent person. Faith just couldn't handle that and turned over to the darkside. She is now teamed up with the evil Mayor of Sunnydale and helps him in his evil deeds.
I do believe she misses having the gang as her friends, but she just can't go back to them. She is having some deep issues. Her spirit and strength as a slayer really matches up to Buffy's, but Faith needs to learn the being the Slayer means helping innocent people not the evil side.
