Mad Season Of The Witch

Addicted To Noise staff writer Gil Kaufman reports: This much we know: sometime in the future there will be a new album from the Seattle supergroup Mad Season, whose line-up in the past has included Alice In Chains singer Layne Staley, Pearl Jam's Mike McCready and Screaming Trees' Barrett Martin. Now, here's where it gets a bit sticky. According to sources in the AIC camp, the instrumental tracks for the as-yet-untitled release have been laid down, and as rumored, they are plentiful enough to be spread out over two CD's. According to reports, there is a possibility that Staley would handle vocals on the first disc with the Screaming Trees' Mark Lanegan taking over on the second. However, according to management, neither singers have opened their mouths just yet and, as far as we can tell, no lyrics have been penned.
