I have been told my great grandmother was married to the Baker who was married to Marilyn Monroe mother. We don't know what his name was. We know she was married to Newton Baker but we don't know what my great grandfathers name was.
So we don't know if he was the one married to Marilyn mother or not. I have the names Ray Baker who would of been my grandmothers uncle & I guess would of been a brother to mr baker.
I also have a pictue & names of three kids who were all bakers. Help how do I find out what my great grandfathers name was? my mother deson't know since the Bakers lived in Nabraska & didn't keep in touch. This would of been a second marraige for my Ggrandmother. She died 40 years ago.
Where do I start to search. We have no records. only my Ggrandmothers death papers ut her husbands name isn't mentioned on it anywhere. I wrote to the address on he papers but they came back address unknown. I don't even know whre in Nabraska she is buried. Ray Baker told use he would fill us in on anything we wanted to know about Marilyn but before he could sit down & tell us he died.

I am looking for information on my Baker family line. My great-great-grandmother, Emmer Link Baker, was born on 20 Sep 1875 in Tennessee. She married William Harmon Proffitt on 17 Dec 1896 in Chestnut Hill, Jefferson County, Tennessee. She died 05 Jul 1949 in Waynoka, Oklahoma. I have heard from a fellow genealogist that Emmer's parents were Charley Baker and Etta Roberts.

Hello, I've not yet found my way into the Baker's for certain, but here's how they might connect. My 2xgreatgranparents were William Ashby and Mary Featherstone, both of Seal, Kent, UK. A witness to their marriage (17/10/1824) was Elizabeth Baker. Their their first child was called Susannah after Mary's mother, the wife of Thomas Featherstone. She may also have been a Baker. Can anyone help me to make a connection, please?
