I am searching for the Bakers of Jasper county Missouri. My greatgrandfather was Ira Edward Baker b. Feb. 21, 1904 d. 1973/1974 and is buried in Carthage. He was married to Opal Mae Hicks b. May 7, 1904 d. 1973/1974. Ira's parents were George William Baker and Martha Eva Keller. Opal Mae was an orphan and had a brother named Bud Hicks. Ira and Mae helped to start the Center Point Christian Church in Carthage. Any information about my family will be appreciated.

Ida Baker and Dominic C. Kearns (aka Doyle) had a son, Ralph James Kearns, in 1909 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was thought to be English and about 18-21 years old at the time. We can't find Ida anywhere. She left Dominic about 1915 and moved to northern Minnesota. From there we know not. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading.

I am looking for information on Maurice Baker, b. 1770 in Baltimore MD, d. 2/6/1827 in Baltimore MD. He married Rachel Gladman, b. 1771 in Baltimore and d. 1/21/1840 in Baltimore MD. Richard and Rachel are buried together at Marcella Chapel Cemetery in Baltimore Co MD.

One son is known, Richard, b. 5/27/1808 in Baltimore MD, d. 8/2/1890 in Baltimore Co MD. He married Julia Ann Gosnell, b. 5/19/1813, d. 12/16/1886.

I am looking for any information on ancestors of Maurice. I'm sure he's connected to the vast group of Bakers in the Baltimore area at that time, but I'm not sure how.

His family settled , probably during the 1820s, in Cherokee County GA. Thomas moved to Cherokee Co., AL in the 1850s with his son Daniel. He appeared on the 1860 Cherokee Co. AL census. Son James Ellsworth Baker born June 18, 1864 in Lafayette, Tippecoanoe County, Indiana. and at least 2 other brothers and 3 sisters (unknown names). James (married to Luella Cole of Missouri) lived in Indiana, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota. Died in Chamberlain, Brule County, South Dakota Jan. 2, 1931.
"1888 Biographical Record and Portrait Album of Tippecanoe County (Indiana)" mentions reference to a William and Sarah Baker on pages 334, 459 and 579. Does anybody have this book that would be willing to do a look-up? I am stuck on the 2nd great grandparents William and Sarah line back. Please help!!
