Seattle's Homeless Fast Day 1998

Each day more and more men, women and children are finding their way to the streets of major cities for their homes. Why is this happening? What can we a human beings, do for these people? Can this same thing happen to us? There are many people who don't even know what is going on in their life that causes them to live as a homeless person. The staff and volunteers at SIRN have a goal to open a house where homeless men, women and children can come and learn how to be a productive citizen again. Our staff will teach everything from hygiene to employment skills. Before leaving our house we will ensure that they have affordable housing and steady employment plus the skills to keep them productive. There are some homeless that don't want help but the majority do, and will work hard to become useful again.
