"I can't say I was exactly courageous during Emily's birth," says new daddy Scott Reeves. "I almost fainted twice. Missy was the courageous one, because she had to go through it. I was just wishing I could do something to take away the pain; I would have given anything to do that. But Missy was great. I just fell in love all over again. We had picked out names two years ago; we were dead set on them, so when the baby came out, all we had to do was call her Emily.
"The night Emily was born, we were all three lying on the bed, watching the Emmys. Now, every day at seven a.m., she tugs on my toe and says, 'Papa, can I get in bed with you and Mama?' Not really, but she lets us know when she wants to get in bed with us in the morning. We plop her between us and she goes right to sleep. It's very cute. It's neat to look at her and pick out the certain things that she got from me and Missy."
"It's just like little peach fuzz," Scott says, "She's got Missy's eyes, too, and my lips. She's so fun, you just want to kiss her all over. I knew I was going to love my baby, but I didn't know how much."
