Completed Ph.D. in Experimental Laser Spectroscopy in the year 1999 in the Department of Physics, University of Calcutta, India. Afterwards worked as a Scientific Collaborator in the ETAP group of Professor Günter Werth in the Institut für Physik, Universität Mainz, Germany. I was mainly associated with the sub-group working with Collective and Non-Collective oscillations of ion cloud in Penning Trap with special focus on Instabilities of ion cloud. Worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at Rampurhat College, Rampurhat, West Bengal, India for more than two years. Presently I am associated with the Department of Physics of Jadavpur University, Calcutta since 2003 as a permanent faculty member.
