Was Bush's Knesset speech a swipe at Obama?
Barack Obama's aides were quick to respond. His people called it "extraordinary politicization of foreign policy." While U.S. President George W. Bush was speaking in Israel and comparing those who would talk with Iran to those who would have talked to Adolf Hitler, a storm broke out in the American political arena. Did Bush mean Obama? Was he comparing him to Neville Chamberlain? The president's travels in the Holy Land - which didn't make a lot of headlines in a media steeped in election coverage - were suddenly hot news.
Bush taunted those who follow "the false comfort of appeasement, which has been repeatedly discredited by history." There is only one candidate for the White House in 2008 who advocates direct dialogue with the Iranian regime, and that is Obama. And although the White House stated that Bush's remarks were not directed at Obama, pundits - and the campaign headquarters - were quick to find clues indicating that these comments were directed at the senator from Illinois. Obama issued a statement: "It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack."
Obama also has an inherent interest in faking insult, thus garnering attention and emphasizing for voters the differences between him and Bush - and Republican candidate John McCain, widely seen as Bush's ideological heir.
Tying McCain to Bush is the Democratic strategy ahead of the upcoming election. And regarding Israel, the strategy is clear too: Everyone supports Israel, and any Republican attempt to claim otherwise is nothing but lies. Even Obama's rival, Hillary Clinton, said yes when asked if Obama would support Israel. So too says House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California) ahead of her visit to Israel next week: All of them will support Israel - Obama, Clinton and McCain.
Obama, as we wrote Thursday, is working to calm voters worried that he might not support Israel as strongly as his predecessors. McCain plans to use the Iranian issue to prove that not all forms of support are equal. He hopes to attract Jewish votes in states like Florida, which could tip the scales in his favor, and believes he will succeed - certainly in getting more Jewish votes than Bush did in 2004.
Obama is setting his sights on McCain as Clinton slides out of political consciousness. Even with her impressive win in West Virginia, she had trouble filling the seats on her press bus this week, while Obama garners headline after headline. He's gotten some help from his new friend, John Edwards, a crucial endorsement. And no one knows which way the prized Al Gore endorsement will go yet. But Obama needs something more than Gore's endorsement: He needs superdelegates. He already has more of these than Clinton, but he will clinch the nomination only after he has enough to boost him from the "leading" candidate to the "winning" candidate.
It would be political suicide for any candidate to say he or she will not support Israel. The question is how much? How far would the candidate go to stop Iran from wiping Israel off the map, or would the candidate engage in endless negotiations while Iran prepares to destroy the Jews. We are quickly approaching the days of Ezekiel. Iran as old Persia is a major player in the predicted coming Islamic invasion of Israel.

I'm sure the masses are saying this is too specific. A three pronged Islamic invasion of Israel where Iran is the Eastern prong of the battle plan. What is even more specific in the Bible is that this invasion will be met head on by the Almighty God of the Bible. Supernatural intervention much as what happened when the Jews left Egypt during the miraculous First Exodus into the Holy Land. It is about to happen again. The whole world is going to be confronted with God moving forward His plan for the redeemed. It is God's plan as revealed in the Bible to establish a Kingdom for the soon return of His only begotten Son. A Jewish Kingdom for His Jewish King. The masses nailed the indictment above His head at Calvary saying:

What the unsaved masses intended as a symbol of their victory over Jesus Christ the Savior is about to come back to haunt them. Folks, the unsaved masses have never changed from generation to generation. The most prominent culture in this generation standing boldly in opposition to the return of Jesus will be the first to fall. Islam is about to experience what it is like to abide under the wrath of the God of the Bible. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Allah, and the Koran are about to be cast into the dung hill of history joining all the other false religions that have come and gone over the generations. The masses have flocked to every false, and fallen religion in their attempts to spit in the eye of the God of the Bible. Our generation with the Road Map is as evil as they come, and is ready for judgment. The masses of politicians are unanimous in their support of the Road Map which would give the Palestinian Arab barbarians most of the Holy Land. The politicians of today would have the suicide bombers be the greeters of Jesus Christ when He returns.
Folks, this generation has this last week witnessed massive death tolls in Burma and China of the unsaved masses. It should be a warning that God is prepared for massive judgment, and numbers are of no consequence. The masses of Islam now greater then Roman Catholicism reaching the billion plus mark are about to be decimated for their sinful barbarianism. Judgment will not end with just the barbarians. The apostates are as sin filled, and ready to abide under the same wrath as will fall upon Islam. The entire planet is ripe for judgment. It will be either the puritanical Christ, or death. Sin is about to be outlawed. The most prominent feature of the coming Kingdom Age is going to be righteousness. The Bible says it will be an era of purity and holiness. Christ has the power to enforce His righteousness. A rod of iron represents His unbendable puritanical rule over the planet for the next 1000 years. Folks, the politicians of today have no place in the coming Kingdom. Everything is about to be turned upside-down.
Friend, if you think you have the right to sin you need to be born again. You need your heart to be changed. Friend, if you think free will somehow justifies anything less then perfection you need to study the Bible especially the areas dealing with holiness. The coming Kingdom Age will be as unique as any other dispensation. The gentile nations rule over the planet will end. Jerusalem will be the capital of the world, and Christ will sit on His throne in Ezekiel's Temple. Absolute holiness is all that will be allowed on His Holy Hill of Mt Zion. That holiness will flow across the planet.
Friend, have you put your trust in this coming Jewish King. He came the first time to die as the perfect atonement for sin. He is coming again to rule over His purchased redeemed possession. It is His blood that has the power over sin. It is your free will that must be motivated to come to Him for forgiveness, and purification. Won't you come to this Christ of the Bible, and live.
