Dana is correct. I think the last few years he actually went as Dane, but Dana is the real name. 
I was told he died.

I ran into Dana several years back at either DEN or IAH. 
Dana and I got along pretty good and he worked my cabin several times. 
He is/was an exceptional flight attendant.

I also heard, a couple of years ago, that Dana passed away - not sure of the cause. 
Wasn't his father a Captain with United?

One of our ex-FAs still working with CO let me know that Dana did pass away a couple of years ago.  
She thinks he died of AIDS related causes

The last I heard of Dana was from Henry Greathouse another FAL F/A who also lives, 
or at least used to live, here in HI. 
Henry said that Dana had AIDS and was not doing very well, 
so I must assume that he died of complications of the disease. 
Dana was really fun to fly with and a great F/A.

I KNEW DANA HOCH VERY WELL!! 
WE FLEW TOGETHER OFTEN. DANA AND TWO OTHER F/A'S RECIEVED A PRESIDENTAL AWARD FOR SAVING A LITTLE BOYS LIFE ON A FLIGHT. 
THE BOY, STARTED CHOKING ON FOOD AND DANA AND THE TWO OTHER F/A'S SPRANG INTO ACTION!!! DANA WAS A GREAT PERSON!!!!!! 
I BELIEVE THIS WAS IN THE LATE 70'S OR EARY 80'S
