She was the widow of Henry B. Pollard and was about sixty years of age. She was born just outside the southern limits of this city and had resided in Troy about all her life. Mrs. Pollard was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. She is survivied by two daughters, Mrs R. G. [The Times Record 31 May 1935, Friday Eve:14:1-2] Thomas S. Pollard, 50, proprietor of a bakery at Hutton and Fourteenth Streets, was found dead from monoxide gas fumes in the garage in the rear of his home, 2236 Thirteenth Street, about 11 o'clock last night. Dr. George F. Reed, Fire Chief Cornelius A. Casey and Edgar K. Keane, first aid instructor in the Fire Department worked for an hour and a half with the inhalator in a futile effort to save the man's life. Pollard was found by his son, Thomas, Jr. The victim, it is said, was lying beside his truck in the garage. The motor of the machine was running. Dr. Reed was summoned. The victim was carried outside the garage and there the physician and fireman labored to resuscitate him. Rev. Aloysius J. Bernard, of the Church of St. Paul the Apostle, administered the last rites of the Catholic Church. Rev. William S. Cleary also went to the Thirteenth Street address. Coroner Walter E. Healy was notified by police. Pollard, it was said, had worked last night at the bakery. One report was to the effect that his truck was heard to enter the driveway leading to the garage in the rear of his home about dusk last night. His son told police that the doors of the garage were open when he found his father. Sergt. John Jackson and Patrolman John McGrath hurried to the ____? after a telephone call was ____? to the police station about ____? o'clock. Sergt.
