In an era dominated by music with no soul and aimless thrashing,
Boston's RAGGED GLORY is bringing back the roots of real rock'n'roll.
Lead guitarist KRIS SOUTHERN has written a batch of songs that
recall the glory days of the STONES, the NEW YORK DOLLS, the SEX PISTOLS, and
HANOI ROCKS.
"I'm tired of all the crappy music out there," says SOUTHERN.
"We want to put the guts and grit back
into hard rock. New bands that we dig include NY LOOSE, D-GENERATION, NASHVILLE PUSSY, the DONNAS, and Arthur Dare's SWINDLE."
Drummer MICK DeLEO is an old-school percussionist who knows how to
make a song cook. His years of playing with rock, rockabilly, and punk
bands, have given him just the right preparation to fill the drum slot for
SOUTHERN.
"We just want to make going out to see a rock'n'roll band a fun
experience again," SOUTHERN says, in conclusion. "If you want to be bored
you'll go see the Foo Fighters, or Smashing Pumpkins. But, if you want to see
a real fun rock'n'roll show, you couldn't do any better than RAGGED GLORY."
