Hi there! Welcome to my world.

This is a photo of me and my wonderful wife Jan.

This is yet another Web page from the creator of the Darryl Gonzalez Christian Center. Yes, I'll still be maintaining and updating that page. But this page is just a little more, and broader, of a view into my world and the things I'm interested in. Are you ready for the 50-cent tour? Good! Then let's go!

My Favorite TV Shows

Dark Shadows, the 1965-1971 horror-based soap opera. Also check out the Dominion. Or visit the best of all Dark Shadows sites. Or if you miss an episode or two (shame on you!), try getting an episode summary on Judy's Dark Shadows page.

"Star Trek: All Types and Flavors"

I've been a Trekker since 1972. That's right, I became one during Star Trek's so-called "dark years". My personal favorite character is Captain Kirk. But I also love Geordi LaForge, and especially that cute woman, Deanna Troi!

I attend Great Hills Baptist Church here in Round Rock, TX. I serve as an occasional guest musician, and have served in choir, as a Sunday school teacher, and in other ways. I love the Lord with all my heart!

This photo was prepared by my oldest brother, Air Force Captain Dean W. Gonzalez, with experimental Ada graphics software designed by him while he was a faculty member of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I thought it would look nice here.

My Hobbies

I enjoy computing as a hobby. I also enjoy making music, writing, and the occasional bit of physical sports. My favorite instrumental piece is the song "Wind Beneath my Wings", which I play in F#. I play the piano and sing. As far as writing goes, I'm working on two projects right now: a Star Trek story ("Star Trek: The Price of the Calumet" is its tentative title) and a modern-day retelling of the life of Christ ("Josh's Promise"). I also write poetry. I'll be posting some of it in the near future.

My Favorite Musicians

I love George Strait! My favorite song of his is "I Cross My Heart".

I also love Rich Mullins, Dino, Amy Grant, Dallas Holm, the Beatles, Terri Clark, and Faith Hill. Also, just for fun, let's throw in Christian comedian Mark Lowry.

At this point, I would throw in Rich Mullins, Christian singer and songwriter par excellence. However, on Sept. 19, God took him home. If you want to leave condolences for the family, click here.

If you like great musical acts like these, or if you've never heard of them and want more information, why not check out Music Lighthouse USA? You can get any one of these artists (and others) through this, the best Web music center ever! Come on down and check it out!

And speaking of music:
Say Hi to George. Or visit an Amy Grant page. And while you're out see the Beatles. Or for a good laugh, try this Mark Lowry link. And always remember, Jesus loves you, and so do I! If you enjoyed the tour, drop me a line! I'd love to hear from you.
