Date: Sun 20-May-2001 Publication: WIN Full Text: Rose Y. Peshon March 12, 1908 -- May 18, 2001 Rose Y. Peshon, 93, of Winona, died Friday, May 18, 2001, at Community Memori al Hospital, Winona. Rose Yarolimek was born March 12, 1908, in Winona County, to Matt and Mary (Dragoun) Yarolimek. On April 3, 1934, she married Peter Peshon in La Crosse, Wis. Together, they farmed in Wilson, Minn., for 44 years until moving to Winona in 1988. Rose also worked in the laundry department of St. Teresa's College. Her husband, Peter, died Dec. 26, 1996. Rose was a member of St. John's Nepomucene Catholic Church in Winona. Rose will be remembered for her love of visiting, walking around the neighbor hood, playing cards and as the historian for the Yarolimek family. Several family members and special friends helped Rose maintain her independence until her death. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Peter, nine brothers and four sisters. A funeral Mass will be offered at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at St. John's Catholic Church in Winona, with the Rev. Daniel Dernek officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minneiska, Minn. Friends may call one hour prior to the Mass Tuesday at the church. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Catholic Church, the donor's church or charity of choice in memory of Rose.
