Peshon, 76, of Minneiska, died Thursday evening, Oct. 26, 2000, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. His death was due to cancer. He was born July 7, 1924, in Mount Vernon Township of Winona County, the son of Felix and Mary (Kirch) Peshon Sr. He was a graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic High School in Rollingstone. He married Teresa Leisen July 2, 1949, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneiska. He was a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon Township and farmed there his whole life. He also worked in construction, building bridges and homes. Felix was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He also served as a state fire warden for 40 years and served on the Mount Vernon Township Board as a supervisor for many years. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Tom, Jeff, and Terry and Jodi Peshon, all of Minneiska; sisters-in-law, Rose Peshon of Winona, Barb Peshon of Phoenix, Ariz., Margaret Peshon of Altura; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, who died July 21, 2000; six brothers, Michael, Peter, Edward, Henry, Albert and John Peshon and two sisters, Dorothy Kanz and Anne Ellenz. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Minneiska, with the Rev. Edward McGrath officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Donald Wyler, Donald Peshon Sr., Donald Peshon Jr., Kenneth Peshon, Brendan Leisen and Timothy Leisen. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where there will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friends also may call at the church on Monday one hour before the service.
