ok I wrote this great article and spent a lot of time on it and then guy who runs the site it was for gets rid of his columns section so I'm looking for somewhere else it can be posted so please give it a thought I think its pretty good and I would like people to see it. >jen

WHERE'S THE BEEF? Ok so he's back great right? right of course and here comes the...but whats with this new attitude or old attitude or whatever. Shawn comes out he does commentary with Jim Ross the same Jim Ross Shawn called Gurth Brooks or ya fat tub a goo and on the other hand JR complained about Shawn's attitude called him the most arrogant super star ever, though he said the same thing about Triple H guy tends to repeat himself, called DX the sophomore class and now all of a sudden they're best friends I guess ya come out to different theme music and everything's hunky dory. So my only question is where's the beef? the anger? the animosity?(did I use that word right?) towards people like HHH for saying he dropped the ball and that most of the mistakes DX made were Shawn's fault where does he get off and then he takes over the group Shawn started. And what about Austin I know I'm still bitter about wrestlemania why isn't Shawn? I mean way to go Austin beat a guy with two herniated discs that can barely walk maybe next you can take candy from a baby or beat up an old lady in a wheel chair cause believe me when I say you don't beat The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels when he's at 100%! GLASS WRESTLERS so I read something the other day about getting rid of "glass wrestlers" who get hurt too often. I can understand maybe its time some of the dinosaurs left so they don't break a hip or sumpin' but I hope he wasn't talking about Shawn Michaels not that they would get rid of him cause that would be stupid but its still something I have to talk about. If you watch some of the stuff these guys do its no wonder they get hurt a lot.It's like Kathy lee said, and I can't believe I'm quoting Kathy Lee Gifford, "I don't understand how you guys aren't completely covered in bruises all the time". Heel/face Shawn Michaels always gives 100% even more than that every single time he gets in the ring. He gets hurt because he gives us the fans exactly what we want to see so no wonder he has a bad knee had a torn ACL has a bad back two herniated disks has broken his hand and had numerous concussions and whatever else. Ladder matches, casket matches, iron man match, Hell in a cell is there anything the guy doesn't do? They don't call him the showstoppa for nothin'. Which is why belt or not Shawn Michaels will always be a true champion. "I don't NEED that piece of tin on my shoulder to prove that I'm still 'THE MAN'"which brings me to another subject LEGENDS o.k. back to the beginning when I started I said Shawn Michaels has been doing commentary as we all know so why am I telling you you ask? well I do have a point and sooner or later I'll get to it but I digress. Doing commentary you talk about the people in the ring (duh) and past things they've done so in turn Shawn's been giving props to everyone but himself he actually said "I'm no tuff guy" sorry but I have to disagree. Sure he's not the biggest or strongest guy but I don't think being big makes you good I think being good makes you good and you have to be kind of tuff physically and emotionally to do what shawn does. Physically meaning like what I said before cage matches casket matches etc. going up against guys like Sid, Diesel, and the Undertaker and coming out on top. When Shawn Michaels came to the ring last year and gave up the championship belt that he had worked his ass off for that he had dreamed of since he was twelve years old I think that showed that he's extremely tough emotionally because that couldn't'y have been easy to do so how could he say he's not tough.WCW has guys like Hogan and Bret Hart who are always whining about how great they are or that they think they're legends while the true legend is sitting behind a desk doing commentary like he doesn't even know it. by Jen "ADIDAS"* Elgert rocketqueen22@hotmail.com *all day i dream about shawn

Hello, my name is Bobbi and I'm a huge fan of Shawn Michaels. My Shawn experiance goes like this:

November 28, 1997
For my birthday, my mother's boyfriend took me to see Shawn Michaels at the Gund Arena in Cleveland Ohio. It was his present to me for my 19th birthday. Earlier that year, I had found a picture ofShawn standing on a ladder grabbing the intercontinental championship belt with his butt hanging out. So even thought I wasn't going to be on Raw, I thought I would make a sign. Shawn wasn't wrestling that day. It was Triple H vrs. the Undertaker. As I stood on my chair holding my "Have you seen this butt?" sign, Hunter was in the ring doing his pose. He finished poseing and walked over to Shaawn and pointed at me. I was in the 8th row, so I knew he was pointing at me. Shawn said something to Triple H and turned to me and smiled. I know it's not like meeting him or speaking to him, but when he smiled at me, he made me the happiest girl in the world. One of these days, I'm hoping to work with him in the WWF.

Hi There! Found your site while surfing - and just wanted to put my 2 cents worth in about Shawn. I live in Australia, and when Shawn visited Melbourne recently, I managed to "fall in" with the crowd of people who brought him out here. In the preceding days to Shawn's visit, I helped spread the word to other fans that he was coming, and somehow ended up having dinner with Shawn and a few others. I must say that The Kid is the nicest guy I have met. He was not arrogant or pretentious - and he was really cool to ALL of the fans. Even though he must have been jet lagged and dead tired, he made a real effort for all. Shawn even threw off his schedule for the day because during a visit to the Royal Children's Hospital, he found out that a fan of his was in surgery, and so he waited until the fan came out and said "Hi". I was anxious at meeting Shawn because of all the bad stuff said about him and his "ego"...but he was just a normal sweet guy...funny, and really just a big kid. click here to see JR2SWEET1 with Shawn Michaels.

Monday 23 November is a day I will not soon forget. It is that day I met my first wrestling Superstar Shawn Michaels. HBK was to make a public appearance at Toys R Us in a shopping Mall the locals fondly refer to as "Chadstone".

I had become involved with HBK’s tour the previous week, when a gentleman by the name of Simon contacted me and said he need my help to promote Shawn’s tour Downunder. Simon was a promoter, and needed me to spread the word that HBK would be in town. After a week of promoting Shawn’s public appearance to anyone who would listen to me (even managed to con my way onto the radio), the day had finally arrived for me to meet this guy. During the week, I had met guy called Rohan a fellow fan who has his own WWF site {{LINK}} who helped heaps with spreading the word. Like everyone else, I left work early to get a decent position in line, and met up with Rohan, who had already been there for some time. We then spent the better part of the afternoon in a queue. It was quite overwhelming to be one of a few females amidst a crowd of 18-25 males the smell alone was enough to kill your pets, (he he)! Shawn was due to appear at 5.30pm, but was running late. I later found out that this was because Shawn had spent some time at the Royal Children’s Hospital cheering up sick children (aaawww).

At around 5.45pm, the crowd was informed of Shawn’s arrival to the Mall. Chants of H B K immediately arose from the 2000-odd people crammed in to the store. After a moment’s pause, movement at the back of the store caused the testosterone boosted crowed to go wild. The Kid had arrived! One of the other girls somewhere in the crowd screamed hysterically. I couldn’t help myself...I chuckled. Friends clambered on top of each other’s shoulders to get a picture of HBK it was almost as if everyone was scared that Shawn would disappear any second never to return! You must understand that this event is the first WWF event that Australia has experienced for more than 5 years, so some enthusiasm was expected! (Hats off to everyone there, though: you guys were terrific no pushing, fighting etc well done!).

Finally it was my turn. Smiling sweetly and making small talk as I begged my bowels to stay under control, Shawn signed his photo for me. Before I knew what was happening, Simon had pushed his way through the crowd, and was telling Simon how I was ½ responsible for getting all these people here. I’m sure Shawn said something really nice to me as he smiled and shook my hand but I was too busy wondering if my hands were sweaty!!

Well my day with Shawn was over, and it was perfect WRONG! After a phone conversation with Simon, it was confirmed that Rohan and myself were to meet Simon in the lobby of a prominent Melbourne hotel, where he would then take us to have dinner with Shawn and some of the other people involved in bringing Shawn and WWF to Australia. Excuse me? DINNER WITH HBK??

Before I knew what was happening, I found myself in a private dining room with company executives, local TV personalities, and The Kid himself. As Shawn walked in he smiled at me and said, Jo right? We met earlier today. I didn’t know what to expect from Shawn, due to the vastly different reports read in magazines etc as to his personality, but I can tell you this: Shawn Michaels is one of the nicest, funniest people I have met. He kept the conversation entertaining (a pretty big feat when you consider the fact that it was a room full of Suits) and it was apparent that Shawn was just a big sweet kid.

That night I learnt a lot about the WWF. Shawn talked about Jessie Ventura, Vince MacMahon, the legendary Hell in a Cell match b/tween Undertaker and Mankind, his health, his fiancé (sorry gals this guy’s HOOKED), and really just life in general.

At the end of the evening as people were saying their good-bye’s, I went up to Shawn and thanked him for being so nice to all the fans earlier in the day (something I have not seen many other celebrities do). The Kid leant towards me, gave me his best Heartbreak smile, and winked as he said "I’m not that nice, but shhh! Don’t tell!"

When I think of Shawn, the one memory that comes to mind is Wrestlemania 12. The Iron man match. The WWF Title. Shawn Michaels vs Bret Hart. Seeing that match and knowing that this was Shawn's dream, I said to myself, "If Shawn can do it, so can I." That meant if Shawn could accomplish his main goal and get that belt, I can acheive whatever I wanted to do and go for it, without hesistation. When the referee coutned that famous three-count, I never felt more joy and happiness in my heart as I did right then and there. Shawm held the title in his hands and I said, "That's yours now. You did it." I cried tears of joy and pride. Seeing my hero acheive his dream made me realize anything is possible. Shawn wrapped the belt around his waist and it made my heart leap into my throat. I was so proud of him and what he had done. To this day, that has and will always be the best memory I have of the extraordinary man known as the Hearbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels.
