Welcome

Hi Folks, Glad you could make it to my page. I owe my life today to GOD and the rooms and fellowship of AA.

I love hiking and it has changed my views in many ways, including how I look at my day to day life.

I have to remember that if I wasn't sober today, I would care very little for hiking, camping, or anything outdoors.

I would not care for the environment, think about the world my child will one day inherit, or care to pass on my beliefs to others.

In fact my world would be very small, my goals would be miniscule, everything I did would revolve around my obsession for the next drink.

I am so grateful to God for lifting my obsession to drink today!!!

I cannot do justice to my feelings of gratitude in words, they must be augmented in deeds.

My Life is so much better that I ever believed it could be. The folks I call my friends, and the other people whom I have met have enriched it beyond any expectation any fantasy I ever had while lifting a bottle.

These things are possible for anyone, who gives thier best honest effort, who's motives are pure, and who's heart is in the right place.

The tools are there for your inspection, each continues to serve me well.

If you Desire to stop drinking, I would hope you do what I have done. Work these steps to your best, they lead to a better life.

The 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous

1.We admitted we were powerless over alcohol--that our lives had
 become unmanageable.

2.Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore
  us to sanity.

3.Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care
of God as we understood Him.

4.Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

5.Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the
  exact nature of our wrongs.

6.Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of
  character.

7.Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

8.Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing
to make amends to them all.

9.Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except
when to do so would injure them or others.

10.Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong
  promptly admitted it.

11.Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious
contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge
of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

12.Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps,
we tried to carry this message to alcoholics, and to practice these
 principles in all our affairs.
