Growing up in Scotland at the age of four, I was introduced to Doctor Who, mainly from behind my parents bed. My first memory of Doctor Who is actually from "Ark in
Space," but it wasn't long until I learned of another Doctor Who villian known as, The Daleks. "Genisis of the Daleks," appropriately enough, was my first taste of the Dalek menace,
and I can still recall seeing the Dalek aim its gun at the Doctor and cry "Alien! I must exterminate! Exterminate!" It wasn't until 8 years later that I was once again granted the chance to
see the Daleks again when the local public broadcasting station presented for me the delights of "Genisis of the Daleks" once more. Since then, I have grown to appreciate my little
metal conquerers and enjoy the fond memories I've had and will continue have thanks to my 'motorized dustbins."
The Daleks were created by Terry Nation for the Science Fiction series, Doctor Who. Seen in the second story of the program, they instantly became a success, not
only as a villian for the series, but also as one of the favorite villians for the fans of Doctor Who. They have been on the series for thirty years, always trying to defeat the Doctor
in their many attempts to conquer the universe. This site is dedicated to the villainous Daleks, as well as to Terry Nation, Ray Cusick, the directors, the prop makers, the Dalek actors,
and the many people that helped create the Daleks for Doctor Who.
