A black glass collectors dream. A freeblown sealed mallet in a
transitional form - from a squat wine shape to a cylinder wine shape.
This beautiful English bottle is 10" high and sports an applied downtooled
lip and string rim. The pontil is a typical British one of the period.
Now for the bonus, this bottle has a history. It was found in the cellar of
Sir Reginald Pole-Carew and bears the seal of the Carew family of Devonshire.
The seal consists of a mainmast with a seated demi-lion. All in all a very
nice bottle.
