Demi-john - A beautiful free blown demi, standing 16" high and 11" across the shoulder. A light olive green in colour, it has a smooth base and a crudely sheared mouth. adding to the character of this bottle is an applied ribbon seal which reads "Allart Ladey Aroue". French in origin, these bottles held bulk wine. Ca:mid 1800's.
