The magical 80's. When I was a child, eyes glued to the front of a television screen. 5 hours of my day devoted to watching movies on Super Channel. That was when I fell in love with the 80's teen flick. There are so many good ones that I watched when I was 5,6,7,8, and I will never forget them...especially since I now have many of them on video. Take my advice and rent a few of them. Some good ones are:
Fast Times as Ridgemont High (1982)
Sixteen Candles (1984)
Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985...I think)
The Breakfast Club (1986)
Pretty In Pink (1986)
Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1987...I think)
Say Anything (1989)
Seriously, you won't regret it, especially if you are now between the ages of 18 and 26 because they will bring back so many memories of your childhood. They are so good, ya know? Because they don't make movies like them anymore. In fact I am obsessed with owning every teen film made from when I was born until I am finally out of my teens (which will be in 2 years). The 80's were good years for teen films though, and there were so many of them...although not all of them were as good as the ones listed above. So seriously, go to your video store and ask for them...go...now!
