She married Ralph Sumner Chapin. Ralph was born 13 Oct 1807. Ralph died 24 Nov 1881 at 74 years of age.

Harriet Newell Cady and Ralph Sumner Chapin had the following children:

974 iii. Henry William Chapin was born 28 Oct 1846. Henry died 28 Oct 1851 at 5 years of age.

975 iv. Willis Chapin was born 12 Apr 1848. Willis died 16 Sep 1851 at 3 years of age.

976 v. Arthur D. Chapin was born 15 Apr 1850. Arthur died 18 Sep 1850 at less than one year of age.
