My Current Flying Arsenal

PAGE UPDATE> The Patriot and the Ultra Sport shown above are now in the "Bone Pile". The Patriot has very slim chances of seeing the air again and the Ultra Sport is currently residing at the local dump. The Patriots right hand wing was sheared off at the fuselage during a Limbo contest. We really made the contest challenging by keeping the distance between the poles down to 20 feet and you HAD to make 3 consecutive attempts at the line! Hey, it was FUN and that's what counts, right?? The Ultra Sport's pain was inflicted by "PIE". Commonly known as "Pilot Induced Error"!!! What can I say?? I had a bad week!! Both of these planes are (were) excellent aircraft and I definetly recommend either of them to anyone!!

Several months ago I bought a World Models 40 Size P-51 Mustang ARF. This plane is very nice!! The craftsmanship is perfect and they assemble very quickly. The instructions are better than many I have seen. I do wish they were a little cheaper (they were $169, now $189), but it was worth the money. Of the ARF's that I have purchased, these are by far the best!

My most recent purchases are a Super Stick and a P-47 Razorback. The Super Stick is alot of fun and I use it to practice manuevers. I think this is a perfect first plane for anyone. They are cheap, they repair easily and they can perform when you are ready. The only ding on them is that the covering on the wing splits along the ribs alot. Maybe this is from the high stress I inflict upon it! Ha Ha! Anyway, it's nothing a little clear tape has'nt been able to repair! The P-47 is a .40 to .53 size plane and has a Thunder Tiger .91 4 stroke engine as the power plant. This is the first four stroke engine I have owned and so far I am enjoying it!! This plane flies fast and perfectly. It tracks very well and performs some of my favorite manuevers including a flat spin. It was a nice plane for a Christmas present! Thanks to my beautiful wife Jennifer!! Oh yeah, the engine was my birthday present from wife!! Some guys have it all, huh???

I have also rebuilt an F-15 Eagle that was laying in one of our club members bone pile. This is a fun airplane to have!! I believe a beginner could learn to fly on one of these. They take off and land well and they don't really have any "bad" flying characteristics. However, there is a bonus! A piped Thunder Tiger Pro .46 makes it a real SCREAMER!! what more could I ask for?!?!?

Hopefully I will get pictures of all my airplanes on this page soon! Until then, remember this: It's alot easier to quit, but it is much more rewarding to keep trying and succeed!!!
