Uhh...How's It Goin'żżż!!! This is one of my latest pages for this neato site of mine. But it is for my reviews and opinions on some of the latest DS9 books that's I've read (no particular order). They will be ranked by the same scale as the DS9 Episode Reviews: (Worst) Civilian, Cadet, Ensign, Lieutenant, Lt. Commander, Commander, Captain, Admiral (Fleets 1-4), and Federation President (the best).

Title: The Dominion War: Book Two Of Four

Author: Diane Carey

This was the first installment in the Dominion War books series. It is a novelization of the Dominion war (when it began specifically) in 2373. After Star Fleet Personel Abandoned the station to the Dominion, the rest of the Federation became locked in war as well. The Defiant's crew was reassigned to take a captured Jem'Hadar warship into Dominion space to destroy a "Chestrosel White Facility." After evading several patrols, they were able to destroy the Facility, but the Dominion became aware of what happened a forced their battered ship to crash land on a barren world, with frightened people, and of course...the Jem'Hadar.

The Jem'Hadar was already stranded for ten days, and were running low on the drug that keeps them alive and under control. Sisko tried to work out a deal with the soldiers, and with Kevon (Commander), but he was forced to kill all of the soldiers in the end to prevent another attack.

Opinion: I was very happy with this book. It was great, but I liked watching the episode a little better though. So far, I've enjoyed the entire Dominion War.

Rank: Admiral (2nd Fleet)

Title: The Search

Aurthor: A Novel By Diane Carey. Based On "The Search Part I." Story By Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe. Teleplay By Ronald D. Moore, And "The Search Part II." Story By Ira Steven Behr & Robert Hewitt Wolfe. Teleplay By Ira Steven Behr.

If any of you Deep Space Nine fans are as hard as you say you are, in September of 1994 (a good year), the Defiant made its debut in response to the Dominion threat. Cammander Michael Eddington also arrived (TRAITOR). This was forcing Odo to reconsider his future and possibly resign as Station Chief of Security. The Defiant's mission was to go to the Gamma Quadrent, and try to locate the Founders of the Dominion.

They had informents through the Carima, a minor member of the Dominion. They were able to give them the location a vital communications outpost deep in Dominion Space. They lost O'Brien and Lt. Dax when they were trying to retrieve the information the needed. Shortly after they lost contact, the Jem'Hadar attacked the Defiant, and captured it along with its crew.

Opinion: I refused to give further information on this book because of its climax(s). I think it was one of the best books/Episodes that I've ever read/seen in my life. I perfer to see the episode though. The action just gets better and better in this one.

Title: Invasion Book Three Of Four: "Time's Enemy"

This was the third generation of the invasion series. The Furies have returned for a third time. Captain James T. Kirk, and Captain Jean-Luc Picard had previous dealings with them. The Defiant found itself floating in space surrounded by ice. Appearently the ship has also aged a good few thousand years as well. The Defiant was to stop the Furies from attempting another Federation incursion leading to invasion. The Defiant's crew was to also stop the Dominion from helping the Furies in their conquest.

Opinion: Frankly...this book never made any sense to me at all or something. I was really disappointe with the entire series spanning from The Origional Series to Voyager which stinks anyways. The events were confusing since chapter five. But the accounts of the Defiant's disapperance in the past was nice.

Title: The Dominion War: Book Four Of Four

This was the final book of the Dominion War Series, as well as the conclusion of the battle to retake Deep Space Nine from the Dominion. Plans were made to have the 4th, 6th, and 9th Attack Wings to converge on Deep Space Nine. The 3rd Fleet is to protect Earth just incase Sisko's plans fail. Worf's son Alexander joins the Rotarin's crew dispite Worf's objections and becomes a member of Martok's house.

The Dominion prepares for battle, and the fleets have a huge confrontation. The Klingons joined as well. The Klingons were able to outflank the Dominion long enough to let the Defiant through, and get itself to the wormhole to prevent the Dominion fleet from comming though. After Sisko accidently meets with the Prophets, the Dominion fleet disappears, and the Federation are able to retake the station.

In rage, the former commander, Gul Dukat, goes insane, and is forced to daughter Zayal to die at Damar's hands. He was taken to Star Fleet as a war criminal.

Opinion: Best book I've ever read.
