Who are you - I don't have your eddress in my address book? Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (10/23/05) Linda was my sister, she worked at Frontier in Denver from 1979 till Continental took them over. When Denver closed with Continental, she continued to live in Denver and commute to Newark. She is the daughter of Cecil (Fetch) Fechner, who was a captain with Frontier. My name is Carole Buetow. I am a flight attendant too for Continental. -Carole Fechner Buetow (10/23/05) Linda was daughter of FL pilot: OBITUARY CECIL A. FECHNER Retired Frontier Airlines Pilot and Air Force WWII Veteran. I knew your dad and I probably knew Linda too. So many of the FAs I knew only by their smiling faces while non-revving. Did you work for Frontier too? The Frontier website index link below has an obituary website. Fetch has a page there already (http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Cecil_Fechner.html) and I want to make one for Linda too. You can send the obituary in the text of an email and a photo would be good too. Please convey my condolences to the rest of the family. I've posted the info about Linda on the online Frontier Club so others at Frontier who worked with her will know about it. -Jake Lamkins (10/24/05) Just received news, one of Former FAL FA's passed away a few days ago,Linda Fechner, a really neat lady. Cause of death, unknown, she was probably early 50's. She lived here in DEN, and was still employed by CO. Her Father was one of our senior Captains and passed away in 2003. His name Fech (Cecil) Fechner. -Bonnie Dahl (10/23/05) Thank you for your kind words. I am going to attach a word document that has a photo of Linda and her words. We have this at the Houston and Newark flight attendant bases and if it will work, it might be appropriate for your site. It is also the memorial announcement. -Dave Buetow (Linda's brother-in-law) (10/26/05) LINDA S FECHNER 48 AURORA CO -US Search (10/31/05) Email to Carole I just wanted to let you know Linda's obituary webpage is at http://members.tripod.com/denfl/Linda_Fechner.html Her page is linked to her dad's and his is linked to hers. They both live on in the hearts of their many friends at the old Frontier Airlines. -Jake Lamkins (10/31/05) Im real sorry to hear Linda passed away....she wasnt very old at all. She was another daughter of a pilot, also myself, Gene McCalebs daughter along with Renee', Hugh Barron's daughter. We are the only 3 that I knew of that were Captain's daughters on the line. Its really quite sad! We will attempt to make the DFW reunion next October.....would like to see some Flamily again. -Kim McCaleb Austin (11/6/05) Our daughter Lori Wheeler was a friend of Linda's and was in the same flight attendent class in the 70's. Lori is the daughter of Capt. Hal Wheeler. -Hal & Shirley Wheeler (11/6/05) I came across the Tripod FAL list yesterday when I was searching for Linda Fechner on Google when I learned that she had recently passed. I was so happy that you had her memorial site up already! Do you know where/if she was buried? The nature of her passing? I could not find anything about her except for your website. I would have certainly gone to her memorial if I had known about it...but I just learned yesterday that she had passed. We were close in seniority and flew together often here in DEN. -Nina Abbott (12/30/05)
