First by definition: Distinct... Indicates that something is distinguished by the mind or eye as being apart or different from others. Society...(1) Companionship or association of ones fellows (2) a voluntary association of ones fellows, a group working together or periodically meeting because of common interests,beliefs or profession. (3) a part of a community that is a unit distinguishable by particular aims or standards of living or conduct.
Okay if that doesn't cover Bikers I do not know what does.
IN Canada we have a term ( Distinct Society ), that has been defined to protect from discrimination, or grant special status to certain groups. These groups of people people are seen as differrent from the normal and inneed of protection from unfair laws,dicrimination or other types of mistreatment.
I think that we as bikers fall under that term in just about every manner...... Hence the name of the magazine.
