WWF Raw is War Report for November 16,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from Lexington, Kentucky RAW kicked off live from Lexington, Kentucky, with the "owners of the World Wrestling Federation, Shane and Vince McMahon," walking toward the ring with their "associates". Mr. McMahon introduced the new World Wrestling Federation Corporate Champion, The Rock. The third- generation superstar said he never sold out, but he "did what The Rock had to do to get to the top of the world". He said he never forgot the fan's chants of "Rocky Sucks" and he's going to make sure the fans never forget, either. He also said he's going to continue to "raise the corporate eyebrow" and administer "the most electrifying move in sports-entertainment today, the corporate elbow". But then the superstar that the new champion called "the biggest piece of trailer-park trash," Stone Cold Steve Austin, hit the ring. He showed a clip from RAW two weeks ago when Shane McMahon announced that the Rattlesnake would get his contractually guaranteed title shot tonight on RAW! He even had a clip of Judge Mills Lane, who had looked over the contract and ruled that it was binding. Mr. McMahon was irate, and Shane could be overheard saying, "I had no choice"! The first match of the night featured X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws of D-Generation X taking on Kurrgan, Golga and Silva of the Oddities, who were accompanied by Luna and the Insane Clown Posse. The match ended when Shaggy 2 Dope of the ICP came off the top rope with a big elbow on Golga, and Billy Gunn covered him for the win! Shaggy said he had accidentally hit the wrong superstar, but the Oddities were still clearly upset after the match. As DX walked back to the locker room, Road Dog was attacked by the Headbangers! Ken Shamrock came out and said he got screwed last night at Survivor Series and twice in the last week by the Big Boss Man. Looking for revenge, the World's Most Dangerous Man challenged the Boss Man to a match later in the evening, and he even put the Intercontinental Championship on the line! Then Val Venis came out for a match with Mark Henry, who was accompanied by D'Lo Brown. During the match, Chyna appeared at the entrance ramp. After getting one glimpse of the Ninth Wonder of the World, the World's Strongest Man could not concentrate on the match, and he was immediately rolled up and pinned by Val. After the match, Henry asked Chyna to go out on a date, "no sex involved", and he even wrote a poem for her to show his love. Chyna walked away without a response. Next up was an interesting tag team match in which Goldust teamed up with Steve Blackman to face Jeff Jarrett and the Blue Blazer. As Goldust and Jarrett battled outside the ring, Blackman finished off the Blazer with a thrust kick. But after the match, Owen Hart came out, and Jarrett, Owen and the Blazer teamed up to stomp on Blackman! A "Real Man's Man" Stephen Regal then stepped in the ring with The Godfather. The Godfather made a special offer to the "working man"-- all three hos free for the entire night. Regal accepted the offer, but as he walked off, The Godfather insulted England. Regal ran back after the Pimp, and they had to be separated by Federation officials. Meanwhile, in the backstage area, Kane was raising hell! Cameras pick him up assaulting the technical crew and even a fan who had asked for his autograph. The Big Boss Man accepted Ken Shamrock's challenge, and the two superstars locked up for the Intercontinental Championship. The match didn't amount to much more than a brawl, however. The referee called for the bell after both men hit him, but the two superstars continued to rumble. Then Mr. McMahon and Shane came out. Mr. McMahon told the World's Most Dangerous Man that they had a lot in common--both came from broken homes and had to earn everything on their own. Mr. McMahon said Shamrock would be a perfect addition to his corporation, and he could offer something Shamrock didn't have: family. Shamrock accepted, and shook hands with both the McMahons and the Big Boss Man as the crowd expressed its displeasure. The Brood came to the ring next as Gangrel and Edge were set to take on LOD 2000--Animal and Droz. The match ended in a countout when Hawk came out to the ringside area and began climbing the Titan Tron. Apparently Hawk threatened to jump, and Animal, Droz and Paul Ellering tried to talk him down. Suddenly, Droz himself began climbing up the Titan Tron and seemed to try to talk Hawk into coming down. But Droz put his hand on Hawk's chest, and Hawk fell backwards off the Titan Tron! He was immediately rushed to a local hospital. JR said Hawk was apparently still breathing when he arrived at the emergency room. Michael Cole interviewed the new Women's Champion, Sable. The femme fatale dedicated the championship to all her fans that made Sable what she is. Shane McMahon came out to the ringside area, however, and said the fans didn't make Sable, but Mr. McMahon did! The upset Sable said that Shane only knew about women he could buy, and she is not for sale! Mankind, irate at Mr. McMahon over what happened last night, had been spotted hanging out in the Boiler Room. The owner ordered his stooges to go find him. When they finally did, they took the beating of a lifetime from the Deranged One! With the two McMahons, the Big Boss Man and Ken Shamrock at ringside, The Rock was forced to put his title on the line against Stone Cold Steve Austin. Before the match got underway, Mr. McMahon announced that this would be the Rattlesnake's last title shot. During the match, Mankind came out and tried desperately to get to Mr. McMahon, but he was stopped and double-teamed by the Big Boss Man and Shamrock. Inside the ring, Austin hit The Rock with the stunner, but the referee was pulled outside as he tried to make the count. Then the Undertaker and Paul Bearer came out, and the Phenom nailed the Rattlesnake with a shovel, knocking him out cold and causing a disqualification! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for November 9,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Taped from Dallas, Texas To start off RAW from the sold-out Reunion Arena in Dallas, Texas, European Champion X-Pac took on the Man from the Dark Side, the Undertaker! After assaulting X-Pac with his immense power, the lights went black and Kane appeared! In a shocking turn of events, the Big Red Machine attempted to throw a fireball at his brother, but the shot accidentally hit the European Champion in the face. After Kane chased the Undertaker to the back, the New Age Outlaws and a group of EMT’s tended to the fallen superstar. After a commercial break, Mr. McMahon and his stooges welcomed Mankind to the arena—surprising him with the announcement that he would defend his Hardcore Championship later on against Ken Shamrock. However, before the bout, the owner promised Mankind a makeover! As Val Venis made his way to the ring to face "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman, Terri Runnels followed him from behind. After noticing the beauty, the Big Valbowski dismissed her to the back! During this superb technical bout, Val had Blackman floored and was gyrating over him when Terri came back and issued a low blow to her former love interest! With both superstars down, the Blue Blazer and Owen Hart hit the ring to inflict damage on the "Lethal Weapon"! Next up was a preview for the Federation Tag Team Title match at the Survivor Series--a Triple Threat match featuring Road Dog, D’Lo Brown and Mosh of the Headbangers with Shane McMahon serving as referee. After several minutes of brawling, D’Lo was able to hit the Sky High on Road Dog, but during his celebration Mosh came off the top with the Stage Dive—scoring the win! After the contest, Billy Gunn hit the ring and cleared house of Mark Henry. As Goldust may his way to the ring to face Jeff Jarrett, Terri Runnels came to ringside to speak to her estranged husband. In response, the superstar told her to forget she ever heard the name of Goldust, and get on a jet and go home! During the bout, Goldust went for the "Shattered Dreams," but Debra stepped in and was quickly kissed by the Golden One! With Goldust distracted, Jarrett took the opportunity to nail his foe with his guitar—earning himself a disqualification. Following the match, footage was shown of new Minnesota Governor Jesse "The Body" Ventura’s greatest moments in the Federation. It was also announced that on next week’s RAW, Mr. McMahon has an open invitation for Ventura to appear on the show! Following a commercial break, The Rock arrived and promised to lay the smack down on "Mark Henry’s fat ass"! Cameras also caught a backstage brawl between Goldust and Jeff Jarrett—with the Blue Blazer once again entering the fray! In a defense of his Hardcore Championship, Mankind took on Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock! In this no rules, no DQ falls count anywhere battle, the Boiler Room Dweller hit the ring in a tuxedo and cleanly shaven! As Mr. McMahon watched from the stage, Shamrock ripped into his foe. Both superstars brawled on the outside and into the audience, where Mankind blocked the Ankle Lock Submission and gave his foe a DDT on a steel chair. After the two combatants brawled to the top of the stage, the Big Boss Man blasted the Intercontinental Champion in the face with his nightstick. Mankind rolled over onto his opponent and scored the win, retaining his Hardcore Title! Before going to commercial, Michael Cole reported that The Rock had been attacked in the locker room! Apparently, cameras were unable to see who assaulted the "People’s Champion"! Later in the broadcast, it was announced an ambulance was on the way for him, putting his match with Mark Henry—and employment--in serious doubt! With the break of the glass, Stone Cold hit the ring in Dallas! The Rattlesnake addresses his ongoing war with Mr. McMahon, stating he still hated the owner’s guts. With that said, the Big Boss Man hit the stage, and told his Survivor Series foe he would put him in a wheelchair at the Pay-Per-View! In the next match, rich Indian superstar Tiger Ali took on Al Snow! Prior to the bout, Singh told his opponent he refused to face him, and instead offered Babu as the competition! Snow obliged, but during the bout Debra McMichael appeared and distracted Head by caressing "them"! With Al’s Head out of the match, Tiger snuck back in and scored the win. Up next, Edge was set to face Kane, and the Big Red Machine came to the ring with a can of gasoline and a blowtorch! The hellion brutally assaulted Edge, hitting him with a vicious Powerbomb. Kane quickly turned his mayhem on the rest of the Brood—resulting in a three-on- one assault on the outside! Following a disqualification, the monster chokeslammed all three of his foes, and piled them, as well as the referee, up for a human bonfire! After covering them in the gasoline, several Federation officials forced Kane out of the ring—where the out-of-control superstar brutalized a fan in the audience! After the bout, Mr. McMahon and his stooges hit the ring, verbally abusing The Rock and members of the Dallas Cowboys in attendance. The owner dared the "People’s Champion" to come out, to which his son Shane appeared! Vince ordered his son to leave, but when Shane refused the Boss Man threw him in the ring! However, before the Cobb County native could hit Vince’s son, the Rattlesnake hit the ring and saved Shane from the beating. Next up, The Rock’s employment was on the line as he took on Mark Henry! Badly beaten, the "People’s Champion" was assaulted by Henry! When the Big Boss Man attempted to handcuff The Rock, the "People’s Champion" closed the locks on the Boss Man, and scored the win when Shane McMahon hit the ring and registered the count! After the bout, The Rock dragged Vince in the ring-and issued him the People’s Elbow! Thanks to Shane, The Rock is BACK IN the Survivor Series tournament! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for November 2,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from Houston, Texas Shane McMahon headed toward the ring as the live RAW from Houston, Texas, kicked off. He introduced Texas' own Stone Cold Steve Austin, but before the two men could have an interview, Mr. McMahon and his stooges interrupted the proceedings. Mr. McMahon immediately put the rumors about his resignation to rest when he said, "the only way I'm ever going to step down as chairman of this organization…is the day I die"! He immediately relieved his son Shane of his standing in the company, telling him the only way he was going to work for the Federation was as a "lowly referee". Shane had told the crowd that Austin would get his contractually guaranteed title shot one day after the Survivor Series, on RAW, against whoever won the Deadly Game tournament. But Mr. McMahon changed all that--he said the Rattlesnake would have to work his way through four superstars in one night in the Survivor Series itself-- and his first round opponent will be the Big Boss Man! Throughout the night, an angry Mr. McMahon threatened and verbally berated Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, Michael Cole, Jim Cornette and Shaquille O'Neal among others. The first match of the night was a six-man tag involving X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws of DX against the Brood--Edge, Gangrel and Christian. However, the contest was interrupted by an angry Big Red Machine! As the other members of the match battled outside the ring, Kane, who was attacked last week by the Brood, chokeslammed X-Pac, Christian and Edge! Hawk challenged Droz Sunday Night on HEAT, but on RAW Hawk was clearly not in condition to fight. Still, Droz put a beating on Hawk, who it appears has fallen off the wagon once more. Animal came out and yelled at his partner of 14 years for "throwing it all away", and then Animal and Droz walked off without him. The next match was jam packed with freaks and nuts! The most deranged duo in Federation history, Al Snow and Mankind, teamed up to face the fun-loving Kurrgan and Golga of the Oddities. Mankind hit Kurrgan with the double arm DDT and was set to put him in the Mandible Claw-- but he couldn't find Socko! He ended up going back to the locker room area in search of his cotton friend. That left Al Snow alone to face his two opponents! Although he put up a valiant effort, he soon succumb to Kurrgan's chokeslam and Golga's splash. As Mankind searched the backstage area for Mr. Socko, Steven Regal came out and challenged any "Real Man's Man" in the locker room to a fight. Goldust probably wasn't the superstar he had in mind, but the Bizarre One was the one that took him up on the challenge. What happened after the match began was even more bizarre: Terri Runnels, dressed in an outfit reminiscent of her days as Marlena, came down to ringside. Later, as Goldust set up Regal for the Shattered Dreams, the lights went out and…Kane appeared! He chokeslammed both competitors and, after Terri came in to console her estranged husband, the 7-foot monster picked her up as well! He was set to chokeslam her, but luckily Federation officials stopped him. One of those officials, Tony Garea, also got a chokeslam for his trouble. The Intercontinental Championship was on the line as Ken Shamrock took on The Rock. Before the match got underway, Mr. McMahon said that since he had a problem with the people, he also had a problem with the People's Champ. The owner told The Rock that if he didn't beat the World's Most Dangerous Man for the championship, he would be stripped of his title as number-one contender and removed from the Survivor Series tournament. The Rock did beat the Sacramento native, but he didn't take the title. Shamrock walloped him with a steel chair, and the referee saw it and called for the bell. As The Rock lay on the mat withering in pain, Mr. McMahon kept his promise and dropped him from the Deadly Game tournament, calling him "the People's Chump"! In a rematch from HEAT, Val Venis, without Terri Runnels, competed against Jeff Jarrett, who was accompanied by Debra McMichael. When Venis climbed to the top rope to attempt the Money Shot, he was pushed off by the Blue Blazer! The match ended in disqualification, and Jarrett and the Blazer teamed up to put the boots to the Big Valbowski! The Headbangers faced D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry for the right to be called the number-one contender for the Tag Team Title and face the New Age Outlaws for the championship at the Survivor Series. However, a winner could not be determined after Kane once again came down to ringside, this time chokeslamming D'Lo and Mosh at the same time! Meanwhile backstage, a quartet of police officers arrested The Rock. Apparently, Mr. McMahon had called them because, the owner claims, the People's Champ had threatened his life. Dan Severn wanted to confront Owen Hart face to face, and he got the opportunity on RAW. Severn said Owen isn't fooling anyone by dressing as the Blue Blazer, and the Beast called the Calgary native "scum". This did not sit well with Owen, who pushed the Beast down and then nailed him with a clothesline right across the injured neck. Steve Blackman came out to help and as Owen ran away, he insisted that he merely wanted to be left alone and that he is retired. After the break, Dan Severn was wheeled off in an ambulance. All of a sudden, the Lethal Weapon saw Owen Hart and went right after him. As the two men were fighting, Blackman was suddenly attacked by…the Blue Blazer?!? Owen and the Blazer teamed up and put a beating on the Lethal Weapon. A cage had been hanging from the Compaq Center rafters, and Mr. McMahon had promised that someone would serve hard time before the night was over. The cage came down and the owner came out and ordered the stooges and the Big Boss Man to check the steel structure to make sure it was sturdy. Then, with all three stooges and the Boss Man inside the ring, Mr. McMahon ordered the Boss Man to beat up the stooges! Apparently the owner was still enraged about two weeks ago, when the stooges left him and then he was held hostage by Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Boss Man beat the living hell out of Mr. Patterson, Mr. Brisco and Commissioner Slaughter. Mr. Patterson pleaded with the owner to make it stop, and Mr. McMahon said the beating would only stop after the stooges had declared their allegiance to him. Suddenly the Rattlesnake hit the ring, climbed the cage and went right after his first-round opponent in the Survivor Series tournament, the Big Boss Man! Mr. Patterson got up, grabbed the nightstick and went after Austin! All three stooges and the Big Boss Man then teamed up on the former Federation Champion, until Shane McMahon came down and unlocked the cage! But, as Jim Ross would say, business was about to pick up further. The Undertaker came down to the ring with Paul Bearer and went right after an already hurt Stone Cold Steve Austin. The SummerSlam opponents went at it tooth and nail, and then the lights went out and the 7-foot monster Kane joined in the carnage. As Kane's fiery explosion went off, the entire cage caught on fire! As the show came to an end, all three superstars--Austin, Undertaker and Kane-battled inside a burning cage! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for October 26,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Taped from Madison, Wisconsin The first match of the night on RAW was for the European Championship, as X-Pac defended the title against the "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman. After Blackman clotheslined X-Pac over the top rope and outside the ring, the degenerate was attacked by Steve Regal! The New Age Outlaws came to the aid of 'Pac, and the match was thrown out. Animal and Hawk accompanied Droz to the ring for his match with The Rock. The People's Champ showed why he's the number one contender as he finished off the youngster with the Rock Bottom and the People's Elbow. After the match, Animal and Droz walked off together, leaving Hawk behind in the ring. Next up, X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws introduced the "tag team champions of rock and roll"--Motley Crue. To the delight of the fans in Madison, DX joined the group for a performance of the hit song "Wild Side" which is featured on the band's just-released Greatest Hits album. As Kane walked down to the ring for his match against Gangrel, Jim Ross announced that the Big Red Machine had officially been entered into the Survivor Series tournament for the Federation Championship. Kane proved that he was deserving of the bid by overcoming outside interference by Christian and pinning Gangrel with a chokeslam. After the match, Gangrel and Christian double teamed Kane, and Edge came through the crowd…and also attacked the 7-foot monster! Apparently the Tortured Soul has joined up with his brother and Gangrel! After the break, Stone Cold Steve Austin entered the ring and announced that he had signed a new contract with the World Wrestling Federation which guaranteed at least one title shot! The owner and his stooges came out to the ringside area, and Mr. McMahon said he could not believe Austin's actions. And in spite of the fact that the Chairman could not get rid of the Rattlesnake, he wanted more than anything to make him say "I quit." With that in mind, the owner ordered an "I Quit" match for later in the night--Austin vs. the "World's Most Dangerous Man" and submission specialist Ken Shamrock. Still, the question of how Austin had obtained a new contract remained. Suddenly Shane McMahon appeared, entered the ring and said he had signed the new deal for the Rattlesnake! Shane said that nothing he ever did was good enough for his father, and he was tired of being "Vince's little boy". He also said his dad's huge ego had gotten to him, and what he did to Austin was just plain wrong. The next match featured Tiger Ali Singh with Babu taking on The Godfather. After what happened last week on RAW, each superstar was looking to hurt the other. In fact, the match was little more than a fight--there was so much unruly brawling that the referee could not maintain control, and he stopped the match! As RAW came back from commercial, Michael Cole caught up with Mr. McMahon, who was at a complete loss for words after what his son had said just minutes before. Mr. McMahon was so shaken that he actually left the arena! Then it was time for the Insane Clown Posse to make their in-ring debut! They teamed up with Golga and Kurrgan to face Kaientai in an eight-man tag team match! Once the ICP got in the ring, they showed that they were much better brawlers than wrestlers--and they weren't at all averse to breaking the rules. In fact, Violent J shoved the referee, causing his team to lose by disqualification. Clearly, the Oddities were not happy about the outcome of the match. Accompanied by World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion Jacqueline, Marvelous Marc Mero took on Goldust in the next match! Jacqueline interfered one too many times for the Bizarre One--so he grabbed her and kissed her! Then he turned his attention to Marc Mero, who he had placed spread-eagle on the second rope, and he kicked him right in the--well, you know--in a move he calls the "Shattered Dreams". Mero won the match by disqualification, but he probably didn't even hear the official decision as he withered in pain. As Jacqueline attended to the Marvelous One, Sable came out and challenged her to a match at the Survivor Series, saying "there will be a new Women's Champion". Perhaps the most bizarre duo in Federation history--Al Snow and Mankind--teamed up for a Tag Team Title match against the New Age Outlaws. Just as the match got underway, Jim Ross announced that Mankind had been entered into the Survivor Series tournament. Snow and Mankind proved just how wacko they both are. As they battled over Head and Mr. Socko, the Road Dog grabbed Al from behind and rolled him up for the pin! But just after the referee signaled for the bell, the Outlaws were attacked by D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry! The final match of the evening was the "I Quit" match between Stone Cold Steve Austin and Ken Shamrock, who JR announced is also officially part of the Survivor Series tournament. Just after Shamrock made his entrance, the stooges came out to get a seat just next to the ring. The stooges actually pulled the referee outside the ring during the match--but that plan backfired. With the referee outside, Mankind came in and put the Mandible Claw on Shamrock. Shamrock was already weary when Austin smacked him right in the skull with a steel chair, completely knocking out the "World's Most Dangerous Man". When the referee returned to the ring, Shamrock "tapped out" (with a little help from the Rattlesnake) and the match was awarded to Stone Cold Steve Austin. The Rattlesnake celebrating but dishing out stunners to all three stooges! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for October 18,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from Milwaukee, Wisconsin RAW IS WAR kicked off with the entire World Wrestling Federation roster walking toward the ring as confetti and balloons fell from the roof of the Bradley Center. Then Mr. McMahon, accompanied by his security staff and stooges, made his way out in his custom-made wheelchair. Mr. McMahon repeated what he had said at Judgment Day: "Austin, screw you. You're fired!" The owner said firing the Rattlesnake felt "better than sex". And he had another guarantee: a new undisputed champion will be crowned at the Survivor Series, when sixteen superstars will compete in a one-night tournament. He warned all the superstars in the ring to learn a lesson from Judgment Day: McMahon 3:16 says, "I've got the brass to fire your ass"! Just then, a live shot of Stone Cold Steve Austin, dressed in camouflage and carrying a rifle, appeared on the Titan Tron, and Mr. McMahon looked on in shock. Mr. McMahon immediately sent the Big Boss Man to escort his family out of the arena. Then it was time for the first match of the night: Ken Shamrock took on X-Pac in a champion vs. champion non-title match. X-Pac was out for revenge after Shamrock injured fellow degenerate Triple H on HEAT. Mankind, who has also has a score to settle with the "World's Most Dangerous Man", came out and put the Mandible Claw on Shamrock. The Intercontinental Champion got his way out of the hold with a belly-to-belly suplex, but the Deranged One's interference allowed X- Pac to recover and hit the face buster on Shamrock for the win! During the match, two policemen came down to the ring, handcuffed Chyna and escorted her away! Jim Ross speculated that her arrest may have had to do with Mark Henry's sexual harassment lawsuit. Outside the arena, as Chyna was being driven away, two other policemen noticed Stone Cold Steve Austin in his truck. They approached him, but only because they wanted his autograph! Watching on the monitor, Mr. McMahon's blood was boiling! He tried to talk one of his personal security guards into going out and arresting Austin--and "using his gun if necessary"--but the officer, saying he didn't want to endanger his life, walked away! That left Mr. McMahon alone with only his stooges to protect him! Back in the ring, the Headbangers, wearing plastic belts, claimed to be the "new Tag Team Champions" and they had two words for anyone not down with the 'Bangers: "You suck!" Then they "defended their titles" against Animal and Droz of the LOD, who were accompanied by Hawk. Hawk actually distracted Droz, allowing one of the Headbangers to pin him--albeit with a handful of tights. This did not sit well with Droz! Meanwhile in the backstage area, Mr. McMahon's stooges went to find the security guard, leaving the owner all by himself! The chairman was only alone for a few minutes, because Mr. Socko (and Mankind) volunteered to be his new security team! But Mr. McMahon would soon grow tired of Mankind's antics, and would throw him out! Out in the ring, the Undertaker came out with Paul Bearer. The Phenom said he had realigned himself with the "despicable, evil, maniacal" rotund mortician and they were about to embark on a tour of darkness through the Federation. Undertaker also made the shocking announcement that he set the fire that left Kane burned all those years ago. Kane immediately challenged the Man from the Dark Side to a casket match, and he promised his brother he would "rest in peace"! The surprises kept coming: Steve Blackman was scheduled next to take on Jeff Jarrett. When the Tennessee native made his way to the ring, he was accompanied by the woman WWF.COM had spotted at the Titan Tower a few days ago: Deborah McMichael! Blackman won the match by disqualification when the Blue Blazer came in and attacked him. Jarrett grabbed his guitar and was set to use it on the Lethal Weapon. But Al Snow came out and was about to give Jarrett a little Head before McMichael distracted them. Jarrett instead used his guitar on Snow--knocking him cold! After the match, Mr. McMahon, now all by himself, got a call--from Stone Cold Steve Austin! The Rattlesnake promised Mr. McMahon, "Your time's up, you silly bastard!" Mr. McMahon desperately tried to make an escape from the arena. But just as he got to his limo--he was met by the Rattlesnake! Austin promised that he was going to "have a little fun" with the owner. He did just that--forcing the owner to squeal like a pig and duct-taping him to his wheelchair, among other embarrassments. But Austin assured the owner that he had "plans to carry out" and when he did, Mr. McMahon "wouldn't feel a thing". D'Lo Brown helped Mark Henry scored a major upset Sunday night at Judgment Day over The Rock--and on RAW the People's Champ was out for revenge as he took on the former European Champion. D'Lo jumped off the second rope right into a Rock Bottom, and was covered for the three count. But The Rock paid the price for his victory--after the match D'Lo and Mark Henry teamed up and assaulted their former leader. Tiger Ali Singh continues to attempt to prove that "American peasants" will do anything for money. This week, he offered a woman $500 to swallow an entire kielbasa. The Godfather came out and revealed that the woman used to be one of his "hos," and that the Indian superstar could have got the entire night for less than $500! An enraged Tiger went after The Godfather, and officials had to separate the two superstars. Val Venis, still not back to 100 percent after twice being kicked in the Big Valbowski by Goldust, took on Mankind. But Venis was able to get the pin after Ken Shamrock came out and slammed a steel chair into Mankind's ankle. After the match, the Deranged One and the Intercontinental Champion battled through the crowd. Meanwhile, Goldust appeared on the Titan Tron and assured Val Venis and Terri Runnels, who were standing in the ring after the match, that the war was not over. Terri whispered something in the Adult Film Star's ear, and he walked off seemingly upset. Then it was time for the Undertaker and Kane to step into the ring for the second time in 24 hours. The brothers ended up battling inside the casket--and destroying it! No winner could be determined in the match--but the war between these two superstars is just heating up. When Kane had the Undertaker down, he turned his attention to his father, but the Undertaker got back up and nailed the Big Red Machine from behind with a steel chair. Kane sat up and went right after his brother and father. Next up, Stone Cold Steve Austin wheeled the owner to the ring and gave him an envelope. Then he took out the gun he had been carrying around, pulled the trigger, and a banner unrolled that read "Bang 3:16"! Though the gun turned out to be just a toy, the owner was so frightened that he apparently lost control of his bodily functions, as evidenced by the wet spot on his suit! Still, the Rattlesnake picked up Mr. McMahon, stunned him, picked him up again, and stunned him a second time! Jim Ross said that the owner has never been so humiliated--but the important question is, what was in that envelope? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for October 12,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from Long Island, New York RAW IS WAR opened with Mr. McMahon driving his own corvette into the Nassau Coliseum and being helped from his car by the stooges - Mr. Patterson, Mr. Brisco and Commissioner Slaughter. It is unusual for Mr. McMahon to drive himself to the events--he usually arrives in a chauffeured limousine--and later in the show Mr. McMahon would realize what a big mistake he had made. The action kicked off live from the Nassau Coliseum when both members of the New Age Outlaws came to the ring. Billy Gunn, who walked out in DX two weeks ago in Detroit, said he had thought about his actions and decided that he had two words for anyone that's not down with DX and the New Age Outlaws…SUCK IT! The reunited Outlaws put their titles on the line against the returning LOD 2000. Animal, Hawk and Droz came out to the ring. But it was Droz that was dressed in full LOD garb, including the face paint, and Hawk in street clothes. Hawk joined Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross on commentary for the match, and said he was just stepping aside for a few weeks until he can work himself back into things. He announced that over the years, with all the injuries, he had become addicted to painkillers, but now he had cleaned himself up. The match itself was short-lived. DOA with Paul Ellering, who have a six-man match with LOD and Droz this Sunday at Judgment Day, came to ringside and took it to Animal. When Droz and Animal came to Hawk's rescue, the Headbangers, who will challenged this Outlaws for the Tag- Team Titles this Sunday, entered the ring and broke a boom box over the Road Dog's head, busting him wide open. As first reported Friday morning by WWF.COM, Mr. McMahon stripped Triple H of the Intercontinental Title and announced that a one-day tournament would be held on RAW IS WAR to crown a new champion. In the first match of the tournament, Steve Blackman returned from a knee injury to face Ken Shamrock, who showed no mercy. The World's Most Dangerous Man went after Blackman's injured knee and forced him to tap out. After the match, a mysterious man dressed as the Blue Blazer attacked both men. Shamrock, angry about the attack, took out his aggression on Blackman by putting him in the ankle-lock submission. In another first-round Intercontinental Championship Tournament match, Val Venis--accompanied by Terri Runnels--took on "Marvelous" Marc Mero--accompanied by World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion Jacqueline, who was wearing leopard skin attire and a lock of hair she had cut off Sable's head two weeks ago. Mero was in control, but Terri jumped up on the ring apron and distracted him, giving Val the opportunity to win the match with a fisherman's suplex. An angry Jacqueline attacked then Terri! During the match, Paul Bearer arrived at the arena--and even Mr. McMahon had no idea what he was doing at the Nassau Coliseum. Michael Cole interviewed Sable after the break. Sable said she had a great time working on Pacific Blue and hopes to have more opportunities to act--but her number one priority right now is winning the Women's Championship. To prove it, she broke into Jacqueline's dressing room and dragged her by the hair out to the ringside area before officials broke the women up. The third Intercontinental Championship Tournament match featured Mankind taking on Mark Henry. Henry used his strength advantage to overpower the Deranged One, but Mankind hit Henry with a double-arm DDT and then took off his shoe to reveal Mr. Socko! The Deranged One took the sock off his foot, put it over his hand, and applied the Mandible Claw on Henry. The pain of the hold, coupled with the smell of Mr. Socko, was too much for the World's Strongest Man, and Mankind was awarded the victory! Chyna, who had come out to ringside just as the match got underway, then came into the ring to confront Henry about his sexual harassment lawsuit, but Henry simply walked away. After the match, Stone Cold Steve Austin arrived at the arena-- driving a cement truck! Michael Cole got an interview with the Texas Rattlesnake, who said he was going to use the truck for something the McMahon family "would remember". In the final first-round Intercontinental Championship Tournament match, Jeff Jarrett faced archrival X-Pac for the right to face Mankind in the semifinals. After X-Pac inadvertently hit the referee, Jarrett went under the ring for his guitar case. But when he opened it, he found the Head instead! Jarrett was so shocked that X-Pac rolled him up for the three count! Just after the match, Al Snow ran in to rescue the Head! Backstage, Stone Cold Steve Austin, in the cement truck, drove over to Mr. McMahon's convertible corvette and filled the inside completely with cement! This did not sit too well with the Federation owner! Then the Rattlesnake hit the ring. He said he is looking forward to being a referee on Sunday and that after Kane and the Undertaker beat the hell out of each other, the only hand he'll be raising is his own. Mr. McMahon hit the ringside arena accompanied by a bodyguard and two police-K9 units. The chairman said that if Austin doesn't raise the hand of a new champion this Sunday, he guarantees that he will fire him on the spot! Mr. McMahon also said Austin would be in action later in the WAR ZONE, teaming up with the number one contender The Rock to face the Undertaker and Kane! In the first semifinal match of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament, Val Venis was set to face Ken Shamrock. But Shamrock couldn't even wait for the introductions--he attacked Venis as he and Terri Runnels were on their way to the ring! Shamrock chop blocked Venis, injuring his ankle, and forcing him to tap out to the ankle lock. As Venis lay in pain after the match, Goldust reappeared, just as he promised! He set Val up spread-eagle on the ring ropes and then kicked him in the Big Valbowski! The two superstars will meet this Sunday night at Judgment Day! Mankind and X-Pac, who was limping after his earlier match with Jeff Jarrett, locked up in the second semifinal match for the Intercontinental Championship. The match was decided when Ken Shamrock came down and nailed Mankind in the ankle with a steel chair. Distracted, Mankind was rolled up and pinned by X-Pac, who was also attacked after the match by Shamrock! Shamrock continued to assault X-Pac until the Intercontinental Championship Tournament final match got underway. Triple H, who joined JR and the King for commentary during the match, called X-Pac the most resilient superstar in the business, and the degenerate more than lived up to that title. He just kept getting up. Shamrock applied the ankle lock, but X-Pac grabbed the ropes. Shamrock slapped on the submission hold a second time, and X-Pac again clawed his way toward the ropes, but this time, Shamrock pulled him back toward the center of the ring, and X-Pac was forced to tap out. With that, Ken Shamrock was declared the new World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Champion! Shamrock's celebration will have to be short lived, as he will put the title on the line against Mankind this Sunday at Judgment Day! As Mr. McMahon had ordered earlier in the night, Kane and the Undertaker, who will go to war for the Federation Title in six days, reluctantly teamed up to face The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, who were also teaming under duress. During the match, Paul Bearer showed up but remained noncommittal. Later, D'Lo Brown and Mark Henry came to ringside. Kane and the Undertaker really took it to the number one contender, who tried in vain to make a tag. Finally, The Rock hit Kane with the Samoan Drop and tagged the Rattlesnake! Austin and the Undertaker went at it inside the ring. Outside the ring, Henry and D'Lo assaulted The Rock! With The Rock a victim of multiple Big Splashed by Mark Henry, the brothers double-teamed Austin! Suddenly, Mr. McMahon's bodyguard from earlier in the night came into the ring, beat Austin with a nightstick, and then took off his hood to reveal he was the Big Bossman! The Bossman stood in the ring and watched the brothers demolish the Rattlesnake. Meanwhile, the Federation owner and his stooges stood at the ring entrance area and smiled! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for October 5,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Taped from East Lansing, Michigan X-Pac started things off as he defended his European title against former champion D'Lo Brown. The "Pride of Europe" was eager to regain his lost gold, but the DX member was equally determined to retain the title. Unfortunately for 'Pac, Mark Henry was at ringside for this match, and his outside interference eventually gave D'Lo the win following the 'Lo Down! During the match, Chyna was again served with some sort of document, the delivery of which seemed to please The World's Strongest Man. The Headbangers then crashed the party, challenging the Insane Clown Posse to a no-holds-barred fight in the ring. The wicked clowns never back down, so they leapt at the chance…and were promptly beat down. Both Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J were left laying in the ring by the former tag team champs, proving that it's not a good idea to ever throw down with Federation superstars! The program then cut to Mr. McMahon, who was planning on broadcasting a message from his hospital room. Before the Federation owner could speak his mind, he received a rather unusual visitor… the deranged Mankind! The Boiler Room Dweller brought with him three gifts for his ailing employer, a box of chocolates, a balloon-twisting clown and Mr. Socko! In many ways, it appeared as if the antics of this duo were a source of more suffering for Mr. McMahon than his injury from the previous week! The lovely Sable was up next, as she was scheduled to provide color commentary for the next matchup between Vader and Marvelous Marc Mero. Despite the enormous size differential, Mero continued his winning ways, eventually putting away the mastodon with his Marvelocity. After the match, the ever-present Jacqueline jumped Sable from behind, shearing off a lock of the blond bombshell's hair! The enigma known as Edge was then scheduled to compete against Owen Hart in a rematch from Breakdown. This match never took place, as Hart made the announcement that he was truly sorry for what he had done to Dan Severn! Hart was apparently still wracked with guilt brought about by the injury, and said "I'm done, it's over" as cameras followed him out of the arena! Ken Shamrock then took on Kane in a bout between two of the most lethal competitors in the Federation. The match came to an unexpected end when the Undertaker knocked his brother off the top rope, leaving him open to a Shamrock superplex. The World's Most Dangerous Man soon had another victory on his record, while the dissention between the twin demons would manifest itself again later in the night. Val Venis and Terri Runnels heated things up, as the adult film star took on Gangrel in singles competition. The modern day goth warrior had his own accompaniment to the ring, Edge's brother, Christian! Gangrel eventually lost this match via count out, as he was distracted by the presence of his nemesis, Edge. Venis, while the winner of the match, had his own problems as he was presented with a golden envelope after the contest had ended, signaling that another Shattered Dreams Production was about to begin! The recently reinstated Al Snow (with Head) then took on Jeff Jarrett in a bout between two sound mat technicians. Though the match was hard fought, Snow eventually took the deuce when Jarrett got DQ'ed when Commissioner Slaughter interfered! Snow's war against Federation brass is apparently a long way from being settled. The rivalry between DX and the Nation continued as Mark Henry was scheduled to take on the Road Dog. Billy Gunn was still MIA, so the Dog was on his own on this night. Luckily, not all of DX was absent, and the Road Dog was able to pin the World's Strongest Man after X- Pac's intervention! It then appeared as if Mr. McMahon finally had his opportunity to make his statement, but he found himself assaulted by Stone Cold Steve Austin, who was cleverly disguised as a doctor! It seems as if the Texas Rattlesnake will go to any length to make Mr. McMahon's life miserable! The main event of the evening found The Rock taking on The Undertaker in a highly anticipated battle. The arena was solidly behind "The People's Champ" on this night. Kane came to ringside during the contest, whacking his brother with a steel chair. At one point, The Undertaker was hit with the Rock Bottom, but the official was not in position to register the three count. Eventually the Rock found himself on the receiving end of a tombstone piledriver, giving the Dead Man another victory! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for September 28,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from Detroit, Michigan The fallout from Breakdown continued as RAW IS WAR was broadcast LIVE from Detroit, Michigan. The show began with Mr. McMahon, title belt on his shoulder and flanked by a legion of Detroit's finest, walking to ringside. Mr. McMahon then addressed the crowd, telling them that Austin would not be granted a rematch in order to regain his lost gold. However, in a bizarre decision, McMahon declared that it was "Steve Austin Night" in Detroit. He then announced that there would be a new Federation Heavyweight Champion crowned in the ring on RAW! The first match of the night found the New Age Outlaws defending their Tag Team Titles against Southern Justice. The Road Dog revealed that he had regained the use of his voice, and took great pride in addressing the crowd with his usual gusto. This was quite possibly the most brutal contest between these two teams, with the New Age Outlaws losing via DQ after the Road Dog clocked Dennis Knight with Jeff Jarrett's guitar. This loss did not sit well with Bad Ass, and he began to argue with the Road Dog. X-Pac came out to play peacemaker, but found himself the victim of an inadvertent thumb to his injured eye. Gunn then headed back to the locker room, leaving his DX mates behind. Jerry Lawler then took the opportunity to address the Jim Carrey situation, claiming that he could have easily sent Carrey to the hospital for a much longer stay, had he wanted to. Dan Severn, sporting both his UFC and NWA title belts, came to ringside to take on Owen Hart in a submission match. This match came to an unexpected end when Severn was apparently seriously injured after a piledriver delivered by Hart. Servern's status was unknown as the show was forced to cut to a commercial while "The Beast" was loaded into an ambulance. Vader was up next, attempting to bounce back after his loss at Breakdown. The Colorado native had an unusual cornerman, Commissioner Slaughter. These two men were united by their disdain for Al Snow, thus creating an unusual partnership. Unfortunately for the Mastodon, he was unable to stand up to Snow's "Head" Power, with Snow getting the win after some "outside interference" from his ever-present companion. Next up was a six-man, four corners elimination match to determine the number-one contender for the European title. The participants in this contest were Jeff Jarrett, Edge, Gangrel, Droz, D'Lo Brown, and Marc Mero. The first two men in were Gangrel and Edge, and these two superstars tore into one another with great ferocity. Edge eventually pinned Gangrel, and with D'Lo and Droz almost immediately taking their place in the ring. The match progressed quickly with both Droz and Jarrett being counted out of the ring. They were soon followed by Marc Mero, a victim of an Edge supercanrana. This left D'Lo and Edge as the last two men in the bout. Unfortunately for the "Tortured Soul," he was distracted by Gangrel and his mysterious companion, allowing D'Lo to lay him out with a timely Sky High powerbomb. It was then time for Mr. McMahon to award the Federation Championship to a superstar of his choice. The Federation owner then called out both the Undertaker and Kane for the presentation. The new champion was not revealed at this time, however, as Steve Austin hijacked a Zamboni, crashing the proceedings in the ring. The Rattlesnake then laid out McMahon with a devastating clothesline before being carted off by the police. Mr. McMahon then revealed that he was reneging on his deal with the brothers. He decreed that the twin demons would have to fight each other for the Federation Championship at Judgment Day, with Steve Austin as the guest referee. He then stated that Kane and the Undertaker would have to take on Ken Shamock, The Rock and Mankind in a handicap tag team match later in the night! The brothers then put on a display of unity as they DESTROYED the Federation owner in the center of the ring. Chyna then came to the ring to serve as the guest referee for a match between Faarooq and Mark Henry. As would be expected, Chyna was not the most objective official, actually causing Henry to lose the match via a low blow. While Henry was writhing in pain, a courier served some papers to Chyna, causing the DX member to leave the ring in disgust. Next on the slate were the Oddities taking on the new-attitude Headbangers in a tag team bout. Even thought the 'Bangers held a considerable edge in ring experience, the Oddities eventually left the ring as the victors after the Insane Clown Posse interfered, allowing Kurrgan to get the pin. X-Pac then defended his European title against Val Venis. As would be expected, the adult film star was accompanied to the ring by his newest co star, Terri Runnels. X-Pac was still suffering from recent eye trauma, and was forced to compete with a patch. It looked as if the Big Valbowski was about to earn his first Federation title when Chyna came to ringside to help counteract the outside influence of Terri. Always the Ladies Man, Venis made a move on Chyna, but the ninth wonder of the world whacked him, earning X-Pac a DQ. As Terri began to console her new beau, they were suddenly interrupted by a "Shattered Dream Productions," and the sudden voice of Dustin Runnels! Apparently, "HE" was Goldust! The main event of the evening was the previously announced handicap match between The Rock, Mankind and Shamrock and The twin demons. The three-member team had a serious unity problem, as the superstars all attacked one another before the scheduled matchup could even start! Kane and The Undertaker finally entered the ring, turning their attentions towards the Rock, doing their best to destroy "The People's Champion." Though The Rock managed to tag out, the carnage continued, with all participants taking massive damage from all sides! The momentum swung back and forth, until The Rock finally managed to hit Rock Bottom on the Undertaker, taking the win for his team! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for September 21,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Taped from Sacramento, California Based on their recent involvement in Mr. McMahon’s "master plan" to take the World Wrestling Federation Title from Stone Cold Steve Austin, the owner offered The Rock, Mankind and Ken Shamrock the opportunity to compete in a Triple Threat Match later in the night. Whomever the winner was would get a shot at the gold one night after BREAKDOWN on RAW! Vince also stipulated the Rattlesnake and a "volunteer" would face Kane and the Undertaker later on as well! Out for retribution for the throat injury sustained by his New Age Outlaw partner, Badd Ass Billy Gunn took on Jeff Jarrett on RAW IS WAR! After the rest of DX and Southern Justice returned to the locker room, Billy took the early advantage on his foe with clotheslines and elbows. After powerslamming Jeff, Gunn slugged his opponent with a flurry of rights! However, after missing a body block the DX member faced a beating on the outside. After both superstars battled back in the ring, the referee accidentally got hit in the eye by Billy— allowing Jarrett to go for his guitar. But, before he was able to take a swing the referee grabbed it from him! Capitalizing on the moment, Gunn nailed his foe with a swinging neckbreaker for the win! Following a commercial break, Federation Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin hit the ring—perhaps his last appearance as the titleholder! The Rattlesnake commented on the Triple Threat Match at Breakdown, calling it TOTAL BULL#$%&! Austin then stated "volunteer" or no "volunteer," he would come out later and kick both the Undertaker and Kane’s asses by himself! Prior to the start of the Headbangers’ match against the Oddities, Thrasher and Mosh sprayed silly string in the faces of their foes and threw Luna out of the ring. Next, the Headbangers ripped apart Golga’s Eric Cartman doll, and viciously mauled the Oddities! For some reason, Mosh and Thrasher snapped—and left the ring in utter carnage! In a bout for the World Wrestling Federation Women’s Championship, Sable took on her rival Jacqueline! The femme fatale started off with kicks to her foe’s head, but "Marvelous" Marc Mero distracted her— allowing Jackie to get the advantage. With a team effort, Mero and his love interest wear able to wear down the blonde beauty, but Sable battled back and leveled her nemesis with a series of clotheslines. However, as Sable was about to suplex Jackie back in the ring, "Marvelous" grabbed her foot and held her down so his lady could get the win! With the victory—Jacqueline becomes the WWF Women’s Champion!! In tag team competition, the brothers grim—the Undertaker and Kane— took on Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin and a volunteer! The superstar that stepped up to the plate was DX MEMBER BILLY GUNN—much to the rage of Mr. McMahon! The fellow Texans faced a blitzkrieg by the demonic duo, as the Undertaker went after Austin and Billy and Kane battled on the outside. Inside, the champion hit the Phenom with a Lou Thesz Press, and Gunn tagged in and attempted to avoid the onslaught of the Reaper! The siblings mauled the DX member—keeping him on the mat and away from Stone Cold’s tag. However, Billy battled back and got the Rattlesnake in—resulting in a all-out brawl! While the Big Red Machine and Stone Cold fought on the outside, the Undertaker hit the DX member with a chokeslam for the win. Following the melee, the champion took a home run swing with a steel chair at the demonic brothers! In tag team competition, Skull and 8-Ball of DOA faced Southern Justice! These pair of 300-plus pound teams wasted little time in attempting to destroy one another, and Canterbury and Knight took control with their sheer power. Paul Ellering added some help from the outside, which drew the rage of Jeff Jarrett from the locker room. After smashing the manager with his guitar, the match came to an abrupt end as DOA tended to Ellering! Following a commercial break, Steven Regal was shown in the forest— shaving nature’s way as a "Real Man’s Man" would! In an attempt to get reinstated in the Federation, Al Snow took on Commissioner Slaughter in a Boot Camp Match! The former Federation Champion attacked his opponent on the outside and brutally whipped Al with a belt! Snow answered back with a martial arts kick—and took the strap to the back of his foe on the outside. But, after missing with a chairshot, Slaughter took the weapon to Al’s cranium! As the battle continued on the outside, Snow returned the chair beating and delivered a moonsault off the barricade. The superstar missed another moonsault with the weapon back inside, with opened the door for the Commissioner to latch on the Cobra Clutch! Snow was able to break the hold, and went for Head—delivering it to the gut of the former drill sergeant. Following a low blow, Al hit Sarge with Head once more and got the win—reclaiming his career in the Federation! Following the contest, Gerald Brisco and Pat Patterson attacked the victor—but Scorpio made the save! With Dustin Runnels at the commentator’s table in prayer, Val Venis took on Nation member Owen Hart! The Calgary native worked on the back of the "Big Valbowski" with a series of backbreakers, but Dustin was unable to stand anymore and hit the ring to attack his nemesis! After hooking Runnels in the ropes, Val got on the microphone and forced the former Intercontinental Champion to view his latest adult film—"Something About Terri"! In a bout for the European Title, X-Pac took on champion D’Lo Brown! The match between these two aerial artists went back and forth, with the champion eventually hitting his foe with his Sky High powerbomb! However, just as D’Lo went off the top for his finisher, ‘Pac nailed him with the X-Factor! After covering Brown for the three-count, the superstar claimed the European Title—and made history as all four competitors of DX hold gold! The main event of RAW saw The Rock, Mankind and Ken Shamrock face off in a Triple Threat Match for a shot at the Federation Title! The contest began with the Nation co-leader and the World’s Most Dangerous Man trading fists—with Mankind quickly joining in for a two- on-one against Shamrock. The People’s Champion and Mankind both went to the outside—where the former UFC fighter mauled his foes! After each superstar suffered a ton of abuse, the demonic brotherhood of Kane and the Undertaker attacked Mankind while McMahon watched on! After Shamrock got thrown over the top, the siblings mauled him as well—leaving The Rock to fend for himself. After issuing the Miami native a double chokeslam and turning their attention back to Mankind, Stone Cold blasted Vince from behind! Who will be the WWF Champion after Breakdown? Find out this Sunday! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for September 14,1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler Live from San Jose, California Vince McMahon, Kane, and The Undertaker were in the ring by time the show started. Stone Cold Steve Austin made his way out. McMahon once again bragged about the Triple Threat Heavyweight Title Match he set for In Your House: Breakdown. McMahon considered Kane and The Undertaker his bodyguards, which left no chance for Austin to get his hands on the WWF owner. McMahon added a stipulation to the pay-per- view match -- The Undertaker could not defeat Kane; Kane could not defeat The Undertaker. McMahon got in Austin's face about the match. Austin began to attack McMahon, until Kane and the Undertaker began to pound on the WWF Champion. McMahon mocked Austin, getting in his face and shaking his head, and throwing the finger. Afterwards, from the entrance-way, The Undertaker said it was nothing personal -- just buisness. McMahon announced Austin would defend the Heavyweight Title against Ken Shamrock later in the show. Backstage, the camera man got a glimpse of Stone Cold Steve Austin walking around. Austin threw an object at the camera man, and told him to leave. Jeff Jarrett (w/Southern Justice) defeated Jesse James (w/Billy Gun and X-Pac) via Pinfall. Before action got underway, the WWF recognized Jesse James' Roadie days. During the match, Southern Justice pulled Jesse James out of the ring and began to attack him. Billy Gunn and X-Pac entered the brawl, with Gunn using Jarrett's guitar. With the referee taking care of things on the outside of the ring, Jarrett got the chance to nail James with the left-over guitar pieces. Jarrett secured the pin, to take the victory. James was helped out of the ring by X-Pac and Gunn. Backstage, Kane and The Undertaker were walking down the locker room area. When returning from a commercial break, Jesse James was placed in the ambulance, with Billy Gunn by his side. It appeared James was having trouble breathing. Commissioner Slaughter tried to be of some assistance, but was told off by Gunn. Backstage, The Nation had an argument with Rocky Maivia, over what positions they would play in Maivia's upcoming match with Kane. Maivia decided to take on Kane on his own. Rocky Maivia defeated Kane (w/The Undertaker) via Pinfall. Rocky Maivia put up a tough fight for Kane. After the referee was accidently knocked out, Maivia hit the People's Elbow. The Undertaker entered, and began to attack Maivia, in-and-out of the ring. Out of no-where, Mankind appeared, and nailed Kane with a sledge hammer from behind. Mankind took off, with The Undertaker trying to catch up to him, but was unsuccessful. Maivia then covered Kane, to take the victory. Afterwards, Kane had some trouble getting up. The Undertaker said Mankind had gone too far, and opened a challenge. He told Mankind to bring the sledge hammer. Backstage, Michael Cole interviewed Mankind. Mankind had a huge, bruised right-eye -- the obvious hit he suffered from the hands of Kane at Summerslam. Mankind accepted The Undertaker's challenge. Dustin Runnels Interview Dustin Runnels said "Welcome to Hell!" He said the WWF was filled up with violence, vulgar language, and sex. Runnels stated that "He" was coming, and that Val Venis would repent. Venis appeared by the entrance-way, and debuted his latest adult film -- "The Preacher's Wife." Runnels' wife, Marlena, was under the covers with Venis in the video. Runnels got on his knees and started praying, and Venis countered by saying, "Being on your knees must run in the family." A promo was shown of Steven Regal chopping wood. Regal was titled "A man's man." Hunter Hearst Helmsley (w/Chyna and X-Pac) defeated Owen Hart (w/Mark Henry) with the Pedigree, to retain the WWF Intercontinental Title. Before the match, Hunter Hearst Helmsley had a woman in front row flash herself. He continued to have others flash themselves following the match. Mark Henry got in Chyna's face outside of the ring. X-Pac came to Chyna's aid, but was knocked right out by Henry. Chyna went ahead and blasted Henry, causing Owen Hart to get distracted. Helmsley caught Hart from behind the Pedigree, to retain the Intercontinental Title. Afterwards, Michael Cole tried to get a brief interview with Hart and Henry. Henry simply stole the microphone from Cole, and put up a challenge for X-Pac. X-Pac accepted, with Henry going ahead and letting it become a handicapp match, with Chyna on X- Pac's side. Backstage, Mankind was packing things inside a dumpster. The Undertaker (w/Kane) and Mankind went to a No Contest. Both The Undertaker and Mankind brought out their own sledge hammers. Mankind, however, equipped himself with a few other objects (a ladder, table, dumpster, etc.). The match between the two superstars was a pure brawl. The Undertaker was able to slam Mankind into the table and ladder. Kane, whose neck was bent over, also got involved, by slamming Mankind onto the time keeper's table. After The Undertaker hit Mankind with the Tombstone on a chair, he went for the sledge hammer. Rocky Maivia popped out of the dumpster. He stopped The Undertaker from using the sledge hammer, and then threw Mankind into the crowd. Maivia took off, with Kane and The Undertaker right behind him. Edge and Gangrel went to a No Contest. Both Edge and Gangrel executed many great maneuvers. At one point, Edge went head-first into the mat on the outside of the ring, after Gangrel stepped out of the way. Gangrel gave his piledriving D.D.T. to Edge on the concrete floor. Gangrel poured blood on Edge, and said "Gangrel flows through your veins for an eternity." Handicapp Match: Mark Henry defeated X-Pac and Chyna (w/Hunter Hearst Helmsley) with a Powerslam. Before the match got underway, European Champion, D-Lo Brown made his way down. Jeff Jarrett and Southern Justice also came to the ringside area. X-Pac and Chyna used excellent team-work to dominate Henry. After X-Pac gave D-Lo a baseball-slide, Chyna went for a top-rope maneuver. Mark Henry caught Chyna as she came down, and nailed her with a Powerslam to take the victory. Evening Gown Match: Sable defeated Jacqueline (w/Marc Mero). Sable dominated Jacqueline. After Sable delivered the Sable Bomb, she stripped off the rest of Jacqueline's evening gown, to take the win. Afterwards, Sable stripped down to her nylon clothing. Backstage, Michael Cole interviewed Ken Shamrock. Shamrock said it was about time, and said it was the night for him to regain the Heavyweight Title. Heavyweight Title Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin and Ken Shamrock went to a No Contest. As the technical match went on, Kane and The Undertaker interfered. Rocky Maivia came down, followed by Mankind. The brawl continued, with Vince McMahon looking on from the entrance-way. Stone Cold Steve Austin nailed Kane and The Undertaker with a chair, and went after McMahon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WWF Raw is War Report for September 5, 1998 Hosted by Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler World Wrestling Federation owner Mr. Vince McMahon started off the night with a promise that Stone Cold Steve Austin wouldn't be champion following Breakdown: In Your House, on September 27. The boss then went on to call the Undertaker and Kane "two putrid p*ssies" for not seizing the chance to defeat the Rattlesnake at SummerSlam! This shocking comment drew the wrath of the siblings, as they chased McMahon through the audience in an attempt to pummel him! In tag team action, the No Holds Barred fighting tandem of Ken Shamrock and "Lethal Weapon" Steve Blackman faced 8-Ball and Skull - the DOA. However, before a winner could be determined the Undertaker and Kane appeared in search of Vince. While Shamrock and the twins fought on the outside, the demonic brothers severely injured Blackman's knee! In the second bout of the night, adult film star Val Venis battled the Rocky Mountain Monster Vader. During the match, Dustin Runnels appeared in the audience holding a sign that read "He's Coming Back!" Inside the ring, Vader was able to hit his opponent with a big splash, but Bradshaw interrupted his momentum by trading some heated words with the Mastodon. However, all hell broke loose when Kane and the Undertaker appeared once more - chokeslamming both Val and Vader while Bradshaw took higher ground! In a World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Title bout, champions the New Age Outlaws defended against The Rock and Mark Henry. The Nation members were able to wear down Road Dog with the People's Elbow and a vicious Bear Hug, but Chyna broke up the contest and mauled Henry! It took both Outlaws to pull the Ninth Wonder of the World off her victim after she pounded the former Olympian with fists of fury! How low will Americans go for money? Tiger Ali continued his quest by offering a female fan $600 to "French kiss" Babu! The catch was that his ervant had been eating sardines all day, and reeked of fish! The fan obliged and earned her pay - but it was just in time to escape the wrath of the Undertaker and Kane. After the siblings hit the ring, they decimated Tiger and Babu with a pair of chokeslams. Southern Justice was able to knock off the Headbangers using their "Problem Solver," as Dennis Knight got the pin on Mosh. After the bout, the Undertaker and Kane smashed down Mr. McMahon's locker room door using a sledgehammer - but the owner was nowhere to be found! In a bout for the European Title, champion D'Lo Brown defended his gold against X-Pac. The DX member looked to have the upper hand after hitting his foe with a faceplant, but the newly-shaven Double J hit the ring and attacked X-Pac! While the bitter enemies battled into the audience, Kane and the Undertaker went after D'Lo. However, The Rock entered the situation - and stood up to the demonic brothers! For his troubles, D'Lo deserted his leader while the brothers annihilated The Rock. "Marvelous" Marc Mero took on one of his SummerSlam opponents - Edge - in an attempt to exact some revenge. However, during the encounter Gangrel attacked the enigma, while Kane the Undertaker leveled Mero on the steel entrance ramp. After Federation officials separated the brawling superstars, Gangrel appeared to be laughing! In an up-close and personal interview, Jim Ross talked to Al Snow and Head on Saturday night. The segment chronicled Snow's journey from Shinobi, Avatar and Leif Cassidy, his mental deterioration in ECW to his journey back to the Federation. Al promised he would make Mr. McMahon notice him, and despite the voices he hears in his Head, he is in full control of the team! Flanked by the groove of the Insane Clown Posse, the Oddities were set to face LOD 2000 and Droz. However, Hawk entered the ring early in half his gear, and proceeded to dance with Golga, the giant Silva and Kurrgan! During the bout, Hawk exited the apron to pummel the Clowns for no reason whatsoever and faced the wrath of Silva once he got back in the ring. The giant powerbombed his foe and covered him for the win. After the bout, Animal and Droz turned their backs on Hawk as he danced his way back to the locker room. "Too Sexy" Brian Christopher and "Too Hot" Scott Taylor - better known as "Too Much" - beat Boricua members Jesus and Miguel after Christopher nailed Miguel with the Tennessee Jam from the top rope, allowing Taylor to get the pin. In the final bout of the night, high-flyer Scorpio took on Double J. The hardcore athlete missed his 450-spalsh from the top rope, allowing the Nashville native to hit his foe with a superplex. But, returning the attack from earlier in the night, X-Pac hit the ring and brawled with his foe into the crowd.
