Halter Classes
You have a choice of using a halter or not. No other tack but a halter is acceptable in this class, although you may have some in the backround. The picture is judged on overall appearance, horses confermation, breed standards (i.e. an arab is not 16.2 hh), and photo quality.
Stallions-Male horses ungelded over the age of three
Mares-Females over the age of three
Geldings-Gelded males over the age of three
Fillies-Females under the age of three
Colts-Males under the age of three
Open-Open to any horse, regardless of breed or gender
Championship-Open to any horse, regardless of breed or gender

Performance Classes
In these classes tack is required and props suggested. The photo is judged on the overall picture, tack and props, horse's movement (wether it is jumping, doing a flying lead change, barrel racing, etc.), and photo quality.
Jumping-A horse shown approaching or over an obstacle
Dressage-A horse showing a specific dressage movement
Pleasure-A horse showing at the walk, jog, or lope
Driving-A horse shown pulling a vehicle
Western Events-Barrel racing, pole bending, and other timed events
Other-Saddleseat, sidesaddle, etc.
