The Olds Cutlass 442

...Four-Four-Two in Old's terminology stands for 4-barrel carb, four on the floor and two exhaust pipes. What is not disclosed by these numerals is that they harness a 400 cubic-inch V-8 engine, which in turn puts out 440 lbs of torque. Now as the saying goes, that ain't hay!

Never really cared for the 442's made after 1986.
Well at least I'm honest about it ;-)

...PICTURES OF OUR 442'S...

My Hubby, Kyle's "1976" Olds Cutlass 442. This 442 is sportn' a stock 350 v-8 engine with headers, dual exhaust and a turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. He bought her in "1979". She even made the journey down the Alcan Highway to Alaska in "1980" when it was still under construction.

This is my car, "Storm" a "1976" Olds Cutlass 442. Storm is sportn' a 455 v-8 engine, 2:41 posi rear end gears and a turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. He was destined to be a parts car. I rescued him and brought him home "July 1986". I love this car. I even got him custom license plates, "LEDFT". Storm's been a good car even though Alaska and old age has taken a toll on him. I'll never give him up!

This is Kyle's car. A "1969" Olds Cutlass 442. This 442 is sportn' a 350 v-8 engine, 4:88 posi rear end gears and a turbo 350 3-speed transmission. He brought him home in "1987". His dream is to restore him to original factory condition. I want this car to be a "Quarter Mile" race car. We're still arguing over that one...hehe...
