The Manic Street Preachers
This page is all about the Manic Street Preachers, who I class as an
excellent band who never seem to get as much credit as they deserve.
I myself am a big fan of them, and I know that they have many fans
around the country.
The Manics, are a Welsh band who have been around for a few years now,
and have had four albums out since they formed.
They originally had four band members:
James Dean Bradfield, who was and still is the lead guitarist and
singer.
Nicky Wire, the bass guitarist, who again is still there.
Sean Moore, who was ans still is the drummer.
Richey James, who was a rhythm guitarist, who wrote most of their songs
(lyrics). He ceases to be in the band as a result of his disapearance in
the early months of 1995, after being constantly troubled since his teens
by his own views on the world. Richey also was constantly seeking a more
emotionally stimulating genre of music. From his depression he started to
deteriorate and resorted to heavy drinking, smoking and eventually self
mutilation. He became so bad that he resorted to cutting himself just as
easily as you or I would bite our nails.
The albums that the band have made are, Generation Terorists Gold Against
The Soul, The Holy Bible, and their newest one Everything Must Go.
They have had many different singles but for newer fans the most well known
are probably A DESIGN FOR LIFE, AUSTRALIA and EVERYTHING MUST GO, from
their most recent album EVERYTHING MUST GO.
