SearchingMUNRO, REDMOND

Query:
I am hoping someone can help me, I know my gr-gr grandparents resided in Dundas county, in the area's of Inkerman, Matilda and Mountain. Their names were Alexander and Catherine Redmond Munro.
Alexander's father was John, I can't read his mother's name (on Alexander's death certificate). Catherine's father was Robert Redmond and her mother was Chatterson/Bebee Lacy.  My question is where could I write for any records that might tell me the full names of Alexander's parent's, and Catherine Redmond's parent's. The records I would like to purchase copies of. I'm sure they owned a considerable amount of property.
Alexander's middle name was Hector, and he and his wife and children moved to the USA about 1855( a guess).
I would love to find his parents and siblings, if there were any. I sincerely hope I'm not asking for a lot, but a few addresses, where I might write to for records would be great. thank you very much.

SearchingDIXON, GILL, MCEWEN

Query:
Searching for Samuel H. DIXON, b. Ireland 1809, d. Ogdensbury, NY, 2 Aug 1894 and his wife, Elizabeth Ann GILL, b. Ireland, 1804, d. Ogdensburg, NY 29 Mar 1893.  The had two children born in Matilda Township, Patience Alice, b. 11 Jul 1852 and Samuel H., Hr., b. 1847.
Their older daughter, Martha M., b. 1839 may have been born in Ireland.
I expect that they were famine immigrants to Canada.  They didn't stay long in Canada; by 1855, they moved to Ogdensburg, where Samuel H. DIXON, Sr. is listed as a grocer.  However, Elizabeth Ann GILL seems to have been the duaghter of William J. Gill, who was born in Ireland, c.1780 and died in Upper Canada, Mar, 1871.  He had a son named Thomas GILL, who was a farmer near Cornwall, Ont. He marrried Alice GREEN; they had several children, one of whom became the second wife of William MCEWEN, after Martha DIXON's death in 1862.  There must have been considerable contact between the Canadian family and the states.
A Frederick Dixon,  a farm hand in Heuvelton, NY, died suddenly in 1918.  He was buried in their family plot in the Ogdensburgh Cemetery.  Any information appreciated.

SearchingMILLER

Query:
I am trying to find some information on my great-grandmother.
Her name on her marriage certificate is Luella B. MILLER from Cardinal, Grenville, Ontario.  My grandmother told us her mother's name was Berthenia Luella MILLER.  In 1901 Luella married William J. BRENNAN in Watertown, Jefferson County, New York.  On December 07, 1902 they had Bella Blanche BRENNAN, my grandmother.  Luella died on March 23, 1904, in Watertown, NY and was buried in Point Iroquois, Dundas.  Her obituary said she had a sister Minnie, Mrs. James Crawford in Cardinal, a brother Dan of Prescott, a brother Jesse of Iroquois and a brother George of Vancouver, BC.  I have a photo of Jesse and one of his wife Maggie.  Another is believed to be Jesse and Maggie's son, John.  We really know nothing more of the MILLER family than that.  I would
appreciate any information at all.  Thank you.

SearchingDOUGLAS, BROWN, MCEWEN, MORRISON

Query:
Andrew Brown (ae30)and wife, Rachel McEwen (ae30) on 1851/52 census for
North Gower, with their children Lucy, Jane, James, and William.
Andrew is a widower on 1861 census for North Gower, with children Lucy, Jane, James, William, and Rachel.  On 1871 census for North Gower Andrew (ae47)has taken a wife and has two more children, Agnes and John. Her name is Mary J (ae47) but don't know her maiden name.
Rachel (b1854) later marries William Douglas (b1852) shortly after the 1871 census [his parents were James and Esther (Morrison) Douglas].
Andrew was born in Scotland, Rachel (Andrew's first wife  in Ontario, Mary J in Ireland, and James and Esther in Ireland.
Anyone have 'bells ringing' or knows Mary J's maiden name, or who Agnes or John married (they were ae 8 and ae 5, respectively  on the 1871 census)? Knowing the parents of Andrew and Rachel McEwen Brown, Mary J, and James and Esther Morrison Brown would also be a bonus! One of William and Rachel's daughters

SearchingPratt

Query:
I am looking for a John Pratt b. abt. 1813 married to an Elizabeth Unknown b. abt 1821 both born in Ireland. They apparently had at least two children in Williamsburgh, Dundas County, Ontario, Canada. They were: Johnston Pratt (aka John Stone Pratt) b. abt. 1851 and Mary Jane Pratt born Feb 22, 1855. There were several children born to the couple but these two children I am sure were born in Williamsburg. The family later moved on to Lanark County, Ontario, Canada in the late 1850's early 1860's.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

SearchingPEARSON

Query:
Joseph and Jane (HARRISON) PEARSON left Cumberland County England
sometime after 1818 and before 1821. Three sons and two daughters were with them, the youngest of whom was born in 1818. Unfortunately, this child died aboard ship and was buried at sea. The family settled in "Matilda, Lower Canada" (as written in the family journal), where a daughter Jane PEARSON, my great, great grandmother, was born on September 27, 1821. The family lived there for about 12 years before moving to Niagara Co., New York and eventually to Sandusky Co., Ohio, where I live today.
Since all of her siblings were baptized in the Protestant faith in Kirkoswald, Penrith England, I would assume that Jane PEARSON would also have been baptized in some church in Matilda, Canada. I would like to know what churches there were in Matilda in the time period of her birth. I also am hoping to find someone who might also be connected to the PEARSON families.
