The Answer: no, that would be Jason Mercer who is affectionately known as "The New Guy" and "Teflon Boy/Man" (choose one; boy or man)..also quoted by
a friend to be quite a smoothie..i have no comment.(: Though i do know Mr. Mercer has charmed his way into many a womyn's and man's hearts.
Along with a new guy, comes new sounds....you can now get a rousing *hootenany* when Jason picks up a banjo and the difranco band kicks their heels up for God's Country ( difranco song off of Puddle Dive). Along with that comes an upright bass...(aren't they wonderful instruments?)...and new sounds for my IQ and many others.

get yer attention?! anyhow, jason's still the new guy..except now there's a new gal as well! Jason's been spendin a lot of time in the recording studio!! he can now be heard on LITTLE PLASTIC CASTLE, ani's new one, and on Dan Bern's new cd "FIFTY EGGS" (BUY IT, IT'S WORTH IT, DAN RAWKS!)... apparently, jason's in competition w/heidi for the greatest prrson to talk to with the circus..and he loves gettin his picture taken! (well, as long as yer civil...or drooling!(; )
Jason was once involved with Bourbon Tabernacle Choir...he even has his own page...definately "JASON-STYLE"! Isn't that a cute pic too?!
HE'S CANADIAN! well, that explains the charm...(:..gee, that's 2 Canadians and only one lil America folkstress,...maybe we will take over the world one day...
He joined the tour after Sara Lee's departure to go back with the Indigo Girls and is still with the tour..smiling away and will pose for photographs! (check out this photo...candid portraits of the canucks!
Wish this guy a happy one the same time you wish lil miss ani difranco one!! (September 23rd for all you nut-heads with no short-term memories! [like me who originally supposed this was the 27th..thanx amanda!)
