Suni is a special girl. She is obviously the result of very poor breeding. Suni's original owner was only that... an owner, not a caregiver or dog lover. Suni spent her days outside in a yard being free fed out of a trough of grocery store dog food. Suni topped out at 70 lbs. First of all, 50 pounds is big for male Australian Shepherds and Suni is a runty female Aussie. She was surrendered to Aussie Rescue and lost 20 lbs. in her foster home in Georgia. Suni was adopted by Abby in Oct. of 2000 and flown up to Minnesota. She has luxating patellas - abnormal movement of the patella or kneecap over the thighbone or femur - and one dysplastic (deformed) hip.
