Motion
You are poetry in motion.
I can tell by the sounds
you speak, the movements
you make, the thoughts
you feel.
You are the love of my live,
my wife.
Moon Eyes
Your moon eyes, bright eyes, collect
the energy of the day and reflect
the excitement of the night.
Your moon eyes, brown eyes, observe
all there is to see, like a baby
seeing the world for the first time.
Your moon eyes, big eyes, remove
all human obstacles to reveal
a new, understanding universe.
Your moon eyes, smiling eyes, relax
the tensions of day, like steam from
a kettle, and they make me laugh.
Your Words
Your words make love to my heart
whenever we are apart.
Letters I get in the mail today
remind of the the special day
when we will be together at last.
Your poems make the time in
between now and then go fast.
