Obit or something? -Jake Lamkins (1/16/02) I knew Elliot "Number one in ALEA for years". Pat was air freight Senior Agent when I was in Denver......good guy to work for. Of course, I knew Wayne and Coyt also. -Walker Collins (1/23/02) A.R. "Bob" Elliott's date of hire was Oct 11, 1947 with Monarch Airlines. His date of birh was July 2, 1925. He died Jan. 9, 2002 in Northglen, CO. He was buried Jan. 14, 2002 in Ft. Logan National Cemetery in Denver. -Ken Schultz (Ken sent an excerpt from the Oct 72 FRONTIER NEWS with a picture of Bob and announcement of his 25th anniversary with the company.) (2/1/02) I saw this obit in the paper. You probably knew Bob as he was the number one in seniority. I was out of town when they had his funeral so this is all I have. -Dwight Brendt (2/11/02) I am the widow of Bob Elliott. He enjoyed the paper (FL NEWS) very much. I would like to continue the subscription and give a gift to a former Frontier employee. -Billie Elliott (3/20/02) Good hearing from you and I was sorry to hear of Bob's death. I have entered the subscriptions you requested. I plan to publish Bob's obituary in the next newsletter. The photo I have is of poor quality. Do you have a nice one you could send me - either by e-mail or postal? I can return it if needed. -Jake Lamkins (3/23/02) I am sending 2 photos. You choose the one that will print the best. I would appreciate their return. Bob was born in Colo Springs, CO July 2, 1925. He was in the merchant marines during WWII on ships carrying troops, ammo & fuel. He later was drafted into the army & then did his reserve obligation in the Colo Nat'l Guard. He loved working for Frontier. I guess happiness is having a job you enjoy. We had & have 5 children. Now we enjoy having 11 grandchildren; ages from 20 - 2 yrs old. Bob was a great dad & enjoyed his grandchildren until close to the end. He responded to the children when no one else could be recognized. He was doing reasonably well taking care of his own needs until he had a flu shot the end of Sept. Within hours he had a small stroke. He continued to have small strokes & seizures. Each time he would regain some of his facilities but each time he couldn't come all the way back. I was able to care for him at home with the help & support of our family and hospice care. Bob & I had been married 51 1/2 years. One special memory for us is whenever we did things for him or helped him he always said thank you until he couldn't talk at all in the last 10 days. I appreciate your interest in Bob. -Billie Elliott (3/30/02) I was at Home Depot by Park Meadows last Saturday getting some stuff for the shed I'm building. I had an old Denver Film Festival t-shirts with a big Frontier ad on the sleeve. I asked a guy there about something and he asked if I had worked from Frontier. I said I had worked for the old Frontier and he said his dad had also. As I asked him his dad's name, I realized immediately who it was since he looked just like his dad! It was Bob Elliot's son (#1 ramp seniority for the system), Bob, Jr. His dad passed away a couple of years ago from Alzheimer's, as I'd heard on the FL newsgroup. Seemed like a nice guy and was the spitting image of his father. -Marvin Floyd (5/11/05) That is too bad about Bob Elliott, I will never forget Elliott, he raised five children and said they were a bundle of joy and they never gave him a lick of trouble. Bob never had any grey hair while working at FL. -Roger Wallace (5/11/05) R.I.P., Bob - a great guy, for sure.. -Gary Wingert (5/11/05) Subject: Updated memorial webpage BOB ELLIOTT 1947 - 1986 STATION AGENT DEN http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Bob_Elliott.html Added a few items and updated the webpage.
