The Mt. Vernon Argus
A series of meetings will be held at
Eagles Hall on Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday evenings at 8 P.M. by Mr.
Alexander Horr, secretary of Freeland
Colony in the interest of the colony.
His subjects will be 'The Principles
of Economy' on Friday, 'The Principles
of Politics' on Saturday, and 'The
Principles of Social Life' on Sunday
evening. Mr. Horr is also organizer
of the Brotherhood of the Co-Operative
Commonwealth and expects to organize a
lodge of the Brotherhood. After the
lectures there will be questions from
the audience. Everybody is welcome.

Miss May Hatter is visiting her sister Mrs. Hess.
Miss Sallie Finley visited friends a few days last week.
Miss Blanche Irish visited friends and relatives in Bellingham the latter part of the week.
That Jap must have been "yankified" meaning the one who skipped away with money from the Sound mill.
The old Blanchard Shingle mill is almost leveled to the ground. The machinery has been moved into the new mill.
The work of construction of the new Blanchard saw and shingle mill is rapidly nearing completion. It is expected to be able to saw the first boards some time next week.
Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Sampson gave a birthday party in honor of their niece, Miss Littlefield, Wednesday evening, May 3rd. All who participated report a pleasant time.
