BILL WOMACK


Bill's medical problems forced his retirement from the Post Office about 5 years ago.  
He worked the window then at Dickson St.  
He worked the first class SCF belt when I started in 1988.  
Bill was always very upbeat and friendly.  
It was a hoot to hear him tell stories about his years in the Los Angeles Sheriff's Dept.  
He was involved with the big shootout that captured Patty heart's kidnappers - 
the so-called Symbionese Army.
He didn't deserve the lousy luck he had the last years of his life.

Thanks for the news of Bill Womack's passing away.  
I read the Morning News myself but missed that obit.  
Bill was always fun to listen to when he worked the window with us a few years ago.  
His health had been bad for quite a while.
