GRAPEVINE 7/20/99 We have gotten word that management's appeal on the unresolved LMOU items ALL FAILED! That means only those changes AGREED to in direct negotiations will go into effect. Basically we will have the same LMOU for this contract. The only change other than typo corrections & cleanup language was clarification on how staffing is done on holidays as far as the overtime list is concerned. This is a big WIN for us - management wanted their appeal items badly! Here's Loren's note on the news. This is Bob Kessler's letter we received today concerning Impasse decisions: _________________________ July 15, 1999 Dear Loren: Enclosed are the results of Impasse discussions of those items impassed by management. Items 4 and 9 will remain the same. Management had no record of a management appeal on Item #14, therefore, they did not want to address it. Therefore, it will remain the same as it will officially die come July 20, 1999 when the deadline for appeal to arbitration expires. Robert D. Kessler National Business Agent (Impasse items signed off by Del Stracner for Management (Labor Relations, Dallas); and Bob Kessler for APWU. Both Items 4.H and 9-B stated: "Resolved as Follows: Item _______ will remain as in 1994 LMOU.") Loren Adams President Thanks for all your support and HUZZAHS for the Negotiating Committee! === ........Fayetteville Arkansaw APWU Local 667.......
