GRAPEVINE The postponed arbitration for our 7 year old "casuals in lieu of" grievance will be held next Tuesday, June 8th, at the main Post Office. The casual hours worked for the last 9 or 10 years have been processed into an easily understood format for the case. The USPS is so concerned about this case, they're bringing in the "big boys" from DC to argue their side. Based on a recent arbitrator's decision on the same type violation, we are "cautiously" optimistic of a major victory. Tommy Garriott's wife and son were is an auto accident recently. Martha is in ICU and Joel has a few broken ribs. We wish both of them a speedy recovery. Kendyl Campbell, former Local 667 president (about 10 years ago) has asked to be put on our E-List and invites old friends to contact him at K5436@aol.com. Kendyl transferred to Overland Park, Kansas about 8 years ago. Asa Hutchinson, our area's U.S. Respresentative, responded to my e-mail about HR22 which we vigorously oppose. If you haven't sent an e-mail yet, please do so now - this issue is still very much alive as Asa's letter indicates. You may read the letter at our website in the NEWSBULLETIN. Moe Biller, APWU National President, may be coming to our area for a visit. Details are not worked out but Loren is working on it and we will get the info out as soon as something definite is set. I am considering making a "for sale or trade" page at our website where members could post notices of stuff they may want to sell or trade. What do you think? Would you use such a page? No use making it if it will just sit there. Give me some feedback. Thanks again, Fayetteville Arkansaw APWU Local 667 http://members.tripod.com/~FayettevilleAPWU.com _________________________________________________________
