As for fencing, I recall my origins easily, so it is not difficult for me to
identify with the beginning situation all fencers face. I think that is one of
my strong points as a teacher. My first lesson -- one of my most traumatic life
moments -- still resides quite clearly in my consciousness. Certainly, helping
new fencers effectively relate to the process of fencing is one of my favorite
parts of fencing mastering. --Nick Evangelista
