Tampa's Fencing Academy:
hours of operation, training schedule, and dues costs

MEMBERS TRAINING: TFA members are encouraged to attend members training sessions. Fencers will have the opportunity to practice basic techniques (attacks, parries & footwork) under the supervision of a member of TFA's coaching staff and to train with fencers of all levels. As fencers become more experienced they are encouraged to formulate their own practice drills and to work with other more experienced fencers in self-guided training as well as working with TFA coaches.

TAMPA'S FENCING ACADEMY AND HOMESCHOOLING
Those who are interested in an interesting and mentally challenging physical education porgram for their home schooled children should contact Maestro Duran of TFA (813/885-3645) or e-mail to TFA for information on fencing for homeschoolers. A program designed specifically for homeschoolers is being developed for the school year 1999/2000. At this time, however, the Academy invites homeschoolers to take lessons through our currently existing youth and adult programs. We have youth fencing on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and on Thursdays from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

OPEN FENCING: Fencers who have completed the TFA beginners' class or who have previous experience may participate in open fencing (bouting), using TFA's electric scoring equipment.

SCHEDULE AND PRICES AS OF OCTOBER 1, 2000:
The cost for the initiation period for new fencers (3 months) will be $70 per month with salle dues thereafter being $40 per month. Experienced fencers with their own equipment will pay $70 for an initiation period of 2 months and $40 salle dues thereafter.
